After reading many of the comments here, I recently switched from IE to Firefox and have been very pleasantly surprised.

The attached article published today indicates that the numbers of folks who are making this switch is not insignificant.

My only regret is that I didn't switch sooner!

hi mike, and here i thought i was the last hold out. i like FF also.

i assume you live in Seattle, i am so jealous. i love the greenery and the coast.

I love firefox and have been preaching firefox for years! Once you get into the fabulous add-ons that are available you will wonder how you ever existed with out it LOL

I want to do it once, but anything that would synchronize the browsers would work for that purpose. I don't see how Selenium addresses my problem. Plus it's a PC solution and I'm on a Mac. As far as I can tell the Dropbox solution just makes a list of your public Dropbox links which doesn't help either. None of this involved Dropbox but even if I just wanted to create a list of my open tabs there are apps that will do that but that doesn't help me because they don't save them by window. And even if they did it would be very tedious to manually open 100+ tabs. I suspect there is nothing to do what I want or I would have found it. I searched extensively before posting. Was hoping maybe someone had some kind of MacGyvered suggestion for accomplishing this. Thanks for the recommendations.

My self I can't stand online email and a mail program works so much better for me to save an organize mail. I mostly do email from my phone these days and like a mail program better than a mobile browser to check email. Personal preference I guess. From what I remember the only add at the bottom of the email is for incredimail but think that goes away with the paid version. I don't have my paid version set up at the moment since I hardly use a computer these days. I tried them years ago and it was simple for me to set up 2 email servers in it and worked perfect for my needs. Tried other programs and just didn't like them as well. Mary

Seniorgal, using Firefox and an older Win7 desktop, I found a 70 character subject line, followed by a box for my new thread. At the bottom of that, a clickable box Next. Clicking 'Next' took me to the option of having my post show in several different forums I think. No Thank You, I'm where I wanted to be and chose none of them. I believe the second step was Post and I had the post that I could not accomplish using IE11.

stargazzer: Have lived in WA only 10+ years, but don't regret the move. The stories about it raining all the time are much overblown.

Safari became my worst nightmare so i switched to firefox recently. So far so good.

I have a problem with Safari also, I can't copy and paste with it those functions just don't work and the browser crashes unexpectedly.

I use the Sea Monkey browser , it is a Mozilla product as is Firefox. I love the fact that I can check my email without having to close the browser or go to the roadrunner website to get the mail
