It's not IE7. I'm posting this using it. Check your privacy settings on Firefox and IE (Tools>Internet options on IE, Tools>Options>Privacy on Firefox.) Make sure you're allowing cookies and that you haven't blocked cookies from the site for some reason. There's a button in there somewhere that will let you look at sites that cookies are being blocked from.

Rita" How untrue that statement is, as much as and as well as the MSWin IE/XP FUD works (you bought the FUD after all, eh), it just ain't so....And if you do it right, and use the right software package to do it, removing BOTH OutLook and IE is a simple and very effective way of making your PC faster, stabler, and w/o IE-OL, more secure too..... And it'll have a smaller footprint and memory requirements, and can be set up as you, not Steve Ballmer, wants it to be. I haven't found any problems at all with IE7 either, XPSP2 here. My many bookmarks were all there, unchanged. I did get a warning for the first couple of months that it was not compatible with my Quickbooks program (this was after I'd taken steps to make changes at my bank so my computer with new browser was recognized online), but I double checked payroll, invoicing by hand and all was fine. After about 8 weeks, Quickbooks came up with a patch so that I no longer get the warning that I should reinstall IE6. (the warning prompt I find now is that Vista will not be compatible with my accounting program, 2 years old and $400 - will be waiting on that one:))

Cynic- I was searching forums to read what people were saying. I've since read more. A number of people were saying their system crashes all the time with Opera. Then others agreed and advised against mixing the too. The funny thing or frustrating thing, mine is freezing up constantly with IE7. I've only been using it for three days now, but was also having that problem recently before the switch. I have DSL and, as of three days ago, have a brand new and MUCH faster desk top. So I'm not really sure what the problem is. My connection seems fine. Of all the reading I've done (which really isn't all that much) there really seems to be an equal number of people that either prefer Opera or FF. With a scattered few that still really like IE7 (compared to IE6). I'll keep doing my homework. Thanks :o)
