Uninstalling Google

If I uninstall Google, will I automatically return to my former homepage? It's the one I want, anyway.

I'm not sure what you mean about uninstalling Google. Are you using Google Chrome browser, or a different browser with Google as a home page, or what?

Sure, you should be able to remove Google Desktop and still have your Google toolbar. They are 2 different and separate things.

I would strongly suggest you save your money and let someone else find out how good - or not - it is. From five pages of a Google search I found one review and that person was not impressed. Said nothing could be removed until the program was paid for. Try Googling it and look at the names of all the websites promoting it. Very few have confidence building names you'll notice. I cannot imagine downloading from a web site that has either 'cracks' or 'warez' in the title.

Well, the computer has been running very slowly, and I've tried about everything else and the only program I've had any problems with has been IE8. I've stopped using IE8 and have been using FireFox, but in my infinite wisdom I decided to try to get rid of IE8 on this computer since I've been using it until the other one is running properly. Only it wasn't real bright to mess with the only computer that was running fairly well. Lesson learned! I tried reinstalling IE8 and got a message that said it didn't load properly. I even tried to uninstall it again, but still got the same error message.

Thanks. Sorry I was rude but really, I'm not stupid & it's not simple. My new LG makes it (possibly) a little harder - format is different from all the Samsungs I've had for years - but I've tried all the above. There's not a "My Apps" list per se and Messenger is quite hidden. I did solve the problem though. I just uninstalled FB from my phone. Like I said, I don't need to be connected with everyone I know and every notification from everyone I know and everyone they know and.......well, you get it. I'll check FB when I'm home and only expect calls on my cell phone from family and friends I know and give my phone number to. Thanks again ! I appreciate it.

Yes,kudzu9, I'm using Google as a homepage.Not Google Chrome.

go to the page online that you want to use as your new homepage then do the following, in your Internet Explorer up top Click on "Tools" from the top menu and select "Internet Options" select the general tab if it is not open to that tab, at the very top it has the home page settings area, if you want to use the page you are currently on simply select the option that says use current page, remember to click apply ok.
