can't send e-mail

All of a sudden I can't send e-mail out. This is the error message I get,
The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'rainie4@yahoo.com'. Subject 'test', Account: 'cablespeed.com', Server: 'cablespeed.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '473 rainie4@yahoo.com relaying prohibited. You should authenticate first', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 473, Error Number: 0x800CCC79
I have no idea what they're talking about. Can you help me? I'm using outlook express.
By the way, I have had no problem receiving my e-mail.

Might want to visit your isp support pages to see how to set Outlook Express email settings - pay particular attention to the server names and the check box for outgoing 'server requires authorization'.

Thanks so much, Mikie! That did the trick. I had the box "server requires authorization" unchecked. I don't know how it became unchecked when it was working previously. I guess I'll never figure computers out. LOL.

I have read before about users having this concern. When you say large how big do you mean? Is this an ISP e-mail account or an on-line you are using? Both tend to have account limits imposed. How long of a "send" period are you speaking of? Some accounts will time out. Do you have any other applications configured to be actively sharing bandwidth while you are trying to send the e-mail? Have you tried compressing the file into a .zip format and then sending it? DA

Copy the URL? Like anything else. Go up to the address bar, highlight the complete address, and copy and paste. Your email program probably has an option in the menu bar to paste it as a live link. That way the recipient can just click on it, rather than having to copy and paste it into their address bar.

I have three accounts with my ISP. I think they don't allow communication among different accounts that all use their server. I don't understand why they won't let me see my messages on the two list I participate in. I can see in my Out box that these messages have gone out, but I can't see how they appear on the lists. If no one on the list directly refers to my entry I can't feel certain that the topic/response is being read by other list members. I have read somewhere that my ISP says this policy prevents duplication of information taking up my space. Huh???
