Fall/Halloween Decor (Pic Heavy)

Well, since Karen threatened me on Facebook if I didn't post these, I guess I will listen! ;-) I actually just took the pictures tonight, so I'm not really that far behind. Finally got to decorate for a holiday and will change after Halloween to my Thanksgiving turkeys and Pilgrims, but for now, things are just Fall and Halloween.

I've missed everyone!!

Your porches are fabulous.
Is that large metal piece in the foreground of your first porch picture a cloche? It looks quite interesting.

I'm glad you "listened" to Karen.

Really enjoyed seeing all of your beautiful dÃÂ©cor.

Marlene, I had my whole post done and tried to enlarge your last photo to see that incredible piece of furniture in the back ground and lost all of it!

So I'll try again. Love all your fall/Halloween decor. It's nice that you added so many nice touches with the pumpkins, ghost, acorns, leaves, amber fairy light,etc. The bell jar is wonderful and thanks for the close ups.

Both front and back porches look great all decorated. Your wire things are both so neat. It all looks great. I have an old wash tub but not sure I could make it look like yours.

Love that you added birds, squirrels and even live kitties! Glad Karen sent you here to share your decor. So many nice added touches! Enjoyed seeing all of it.

Ooh, a Christmas Tree Shop. I'm so jealous, I wish they had one out here at the western end of the state. :( And I'm not driving to Syracuse from Buffalo to shop at one. I have to get going -- haven't done anything yet. If it weren't for the hardy mums I'd have only the impatiens for color right now, and the ornamental kale I bought last fall. Didn't think they were supposed to be hardy, but it overwintered just fine out in the flower bed. I have to swap out my leaf flag for my jack o'lantern flag, and my apple and plum basket slate welcome sign for the indian corn one. I still have to buy pumpkins, and some corn stalks to cover the lamp post and the clematis that isn't blooming on it anymore this year. Then I just toss my inherited halloween collection around the house indoors, and call it a day. If I'm feeling ambitious, I'll throw some garden stakes in and rope off the curved flower bed so that the trick or treaters don't step in it and trample the plants (and knock over the dry stack rock wall and break a foot in the process), but that's about it.

I have the willow friendship girl from friend in Tn. She has flowers in her hands like she is going to give them to me(flowers are wire). They are so sweet.Love all your decor & dishes. I notice something tho, your tray is different than 1 they show in 1985 Hall book by Margaret & Kenn Whitmyer. The tray on page 37 has round handles on end like the 2 side ones on yours but bigger.I like yours much better Since it was only made in 1975-disc. in 76 both kinds would be quite rare I would think. They made so many things in Autumn Leaf, playing cards,bowl covers(shower cap looking)linens, canister sets, flour sifter, thermos( about 1 gal I think with spigot )Metal pieces the finish disappears at sight of water they said.Bread box & cake carriers, cooking pots & even a kitchen chair which is probably worth a fortune now. Jewel Tea came around our neighborhood but never stopped at my house, seemed to have appointments at 2 houses over in cul -de- sac?? I love the Aladdin teapot, it's such a neat shape. i have a 6 in tall water pitcher or maybe coffee pot(no rim indent or anything) got a few months ago for $1. couldn't pass that up! Gold little thin around top of it but in great shape otherwise. Glad you got a cabinet just for your beautiful collection!! melvalena... so glad you got 'inspired' to make your little basket...that's what I love about this site, everyone has so much to offer. Everytime I see what someone has done here, it gets my creative juices flowing !! lol Hey, even if you put that little display in the Bathroom it would work. Let me know where you put it and MOST of all, post a Picture...we love pictures, and your picture might inspire someone else! Mo..thank you, and yes, Please Post Pictures!! We're waiting on you. Your tablescapes are always so cretive and enjoyable. Just like I told Melvalena...YOU might inspire someone too. Also, about the tureens...it's NEVER too late to collect them. There everywhere I go, and the problem with that, is trying NOT to buy them. It's like when I was collecting Teddy Bears...everyone I saw, called to me, to take them home!! LOL jane

Jeanne, all of your fall decor is wonderful. I'm always ready to see your Jewel Tea 'Autumn Leaf' Hall China collection. You have so many neat pieces. I sure wish the set I found this summer would of been priced more reasonable and I would of brought it home.LOL The 'countertop island' is so prety all decorated and lit up. Is that a decorative bread loaf pan? Love that the napkins look like they belong to your Jewel Tea china. Isn't it fun to have more turkeys, acorns, candles and Stuff to play with now? I think back and my decor was pretty lame years ago but I still loved it.haha Thanks for sharing. Punk

LOL, Good Girl, Marlene. You wasted no time getting over here with those pix. :o)

I already commented on each on FB, so you know how I liked it all. Especially the cloche and that big floral centerpiece.

I know you've been busy outside, so its great you found some time to do your 'magic' inside with all the Fall decorations. I've definitely missed seeing you here.

It all looks so festive, love your outdoor dÃÂ©cor! Birds & squirrels are neat addition to the fall inside dÃÂ©cor, love your antiques too! Old Crafty had shade ghost she posted on Garden Junk forum, so I'm doing it while on line. Have to paint eyes once more & it's 10pm already!! Enjoying all the fall dÃÂ©cor by everyone! Jan

Well, Marlene...you have been busy ... lookin' great!

Many faves here ... that cloche is so cute w/the crow or blackbird ... love it!

My fave area is your porch, of course... that big galvanized tub on the chair w/the pumpkin...that & chicken wire thingy in the foreground on your porch with the scarecrow & gnome & decor...very cool!

Of course, your buffet is beautiful...everything looks so pretty! Fall is here! TFS! ~~Jeanne

Thanks Ladies! I have two wire cloches....my DD and DH each got me one for Christmas last year....you can plant in them, but I haven't yet. I like them empty as well. The wash tub was a barn sale find last year in Amish country. I planted flowers in it this summer, so just left it there because it's quite heavy and put the fall silks in it. My blackbird came from HL and I actually had two of them, but DD gave me the pitiful eyes and I gave her one. She said she would name hers "Quoth" and mine could be "Nevermore" from Poe's poem, "The Raven." LOL

Wow! What lovely decorations you have done in and out of the your house. Any child or adult would be excited to walk up to your door on Halloween night to receive a treat and I don't think that they would have trick in their minds either. That scary cat on the doormat might frighten them away though. lol Mary
