Font too big

The wallpaper and yahoo fonts are stretched out too big. I can resize font on webpages like GW using Ctrl/mousewheel (altho they have an ood, fuzzy look)-- but no luck changing the font for yahoo (the header, address bar, footer bar, etc.). I use IE9/Vista.

Have no idea how this happened. Maybe cat stepped on the keyboard?! I went away, and when I came back it was changed.

Perhaps you have inadvertantly changed the screen resolution. Right click on the desktop and then click Personalise. You should see the resolution there. You need to know the default setting for your monitor, you could list the make and model here or Google for it and change accordingly.

OK I went to Display Settings/Monitor

There is a big 1 in the middle of the page, then...

"Dell SE198WFP (Analog) on Intel (R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family"

The resolution is set to the lowest setting 800 x 600 pixels

Obviously I'm very timid to adjust settings--can I just slide the pointer for resolution to a higher setting?

From what I've seen (never done it myself), you should be able to root larger cuttings (truncheons) of this plant as easily, or maybe more-so, as smaller cuttings. If there is significant new growth at the tips, you may have to prune back to firmer wood. A moisture tent and rooting hormone should improve your odds.

Have you added any new programs lately that would requirer a different resolution like games, photo editing, etc. ? Changing the resolution to a higher pixel count will make icons and desktop fonts smaller. I've never had one change things automatically, but nothing surprises me these days. You might check the adjustments in appearance also where you can change font and icon size. Check out This Page for changing resolution. You didn't say which operating system you have, but this should explain.

Minnie- Just to be clear, when I referred to saying what browser you are using, it helps to mention not just that it's Internet Explorer, but the version number as well, because sometimes the answer depends on whether you are using an older or newer version. In any case, using the Ctrl and "+" combo should work. If it doesn't, are you doing it correctly? You have to hold the Ctrl key down continuously while you tap on the"+" key until the font gets big enough.

Yes I would say to cut them down a bit You should try air layering if you want a bigger plant there's a couple nice videos on YouTube where a guy gets a nice 1' plant with branches off an air layer

I found the Users Manual and the resolution, so I slid the slider up to the recommended resolution (highest setting) and everything looks normal now. Thank you, Owbist!

How do these things happen? Surely Kitty cannot be guilty of such a change!

Ha ha, I just put those things down to the gremlins, no other reasonable explanations.
