White subway tile and beadboard, now what do I use on the floor?

We're remodeling a bath in a 1929 home that's had some updates, but the bath is not really functional for us. I want the new bathroom to stay in the same style as this 1929 bungalow.

I was thinking of using subway tile in the shower and around a separate tub, then putting some bead-board in other areas. The space is roughly 8.5 x 10'. I'd love to do all the tile in carerra marble but I don't think that's in the budget.

I like the basket-weave floor pattern but not sure I want the black dots. What else would look good on this floor?

Any ideas would be great! I'm horrible at making these kinds of decisions :(

My house isn't 1920's vintage (or style), but I have a bathroom with white ceramic tile and beadboard. I chose gray porcelain for the floor.

I am using white subway in the shower and beadboard too. I am going to use the tile linked below - a porcelain hexagon in shades of light grey. I orginaly was going to go with cararra, but all the nice ones were out of my price range, and I didnt want to have to worry about durability with 3 kids.
Hopefully it will look good.

Thanks. I couldn't quite figure out which one you are using.

Since I'm using so much white tile and beadboard on the walls I'm also concerned about the ALL WHITE look. I don't think I'm going to like that. I want to warm it up some. Maybe with a wood vanity and painting the walls above the tile/board a warmer color. I'm looking for pictues of similar designs.

I have Azec beadboard in my master bath and I have Azec trim all over the exterior of the house. It won't get ruined from getting wet. Azec isn't cheap but it will more than likely come in much cheaper than the chair rail height tile because tile labor is so expensive. Both are a nice look, you can't go wrong there. I was so happy with the beadboard because it went up so fast and clean and the labor was cheap. I wish I could remember the exact cost....sorry.

I have the Crossville Savoy white gloss. I don't have that much backsplash so it wasn't a big difference for me, but I liked that they had a little more character than the very flat Daltile or American Olean. They are thicker and just slightly irregular. I used a light grey grout (sterling, perhaps?). My price wound up being something like $9-11 sq ft.

Overstock https://willowbathandvanity.com/product/36-x-22-willow-collections-aberdeen-right-sink-bathroom-vanity-in-hale-navy-bluey-with-2-in-calacatta-quartz/ this place also has it for less money^ white too I'd find a vintage wood chest and modify it to accept the plumbing. find a mcm wood chest, or dresser, (you could paint it if you want, any color) or leave it as wood. or, just get a right off-set sink (meaning sink on the right side) . I did one here w/this bathroom. the vanity is 36" with a quartz countertop. Do a wall mount faucet for more counter space and easier clean up. there are a ton of 36" right offset vanities out there. I have similar concerns about too much white in my bathroom re-do. Currently, the bathroom is 50s pink n gray tile, so a lack of color will be a relief! I found a ceramic tile at Lowe's that looks like wood parquet. It matches the color of the hardwood in the hall by the bathroom. I am trying to copy an inspiration room on the Restoration Hardware website: white walls, dark stained vanity/mirror/wood floor. If you want to find the picture on the rh website, you have to look under the white bathroom rugs on the website.
The tiles we purchased were a special order from Lowes and are about $4/sq. ft. Will keep up and see how your project turns out!

Dark marble. I know that sounds off putting but the combination is beautiful IRL. We don't have wainscot or subway, but we do have the dark marble flooring. It was in when we bought the house and at first I thought yuk...but I've since grown to really love it. It's different from what people usually use, it works with any style and it helps to ground the space

we struggled with the same issue. We eventually settled on an ancient tumbled travertine and love it. We went with subway tile but we almost went with beadboard instead. Either would look great.
