I had a heck of a time finding just the AVG virus checker upgrade program... I didn't want the version, that the pop-up reminder takes you too, with all that other junk that stops working after a while... I went to the Grisoft site but everything seemed to direct me to the trial version with the firewall and other stuff... ( Which one did you get? ) Anyway I found it on C-Net but it doesn't say if I should un-install the old one first or if you do how you go about it... Most antivirus programs are set up to prevent viruses and/or trojans from disabling them so I thinking AVG has that too... When you got the 7.5 upgrade did you un-install the old one first?. If so how?. Did you just go to add remove and un-install the one, AVG Free Edition or was there something else?
