ole joyful - Maybe I missed something some where along the way. Do you drive a truck and that's why you need a truck driver's license? I think one of the reasons so many have suggested that you might stop driving is that they care for you and are worried about you. You mentioned that you failed the test for the following reasons: "driving too slowly, didn't give nearby car enough space in multiple lane turn, not check blind spot enough, etc." These reasons seem valid reasons for failing the test. I understand that you passed the vision test for a regular license but my concern is the driving part. When my Dad moved in with us at age 85 he was still driving. He had only had one minor accident in 20 years. One day I happened to be following him home and noticed he was driving very slowly, not coming to a complete stop at stop signs and when he turned he made such wide turns that he was in the other lane. So one afternoon my neighbor and I followed him so that I could have another opinion of his skills and unfortunately his driving was even more erratic. I was planning on talking with him about it that evening. Unfortunately that afternoon he was parallel parking and thought the car was in reverse - it was in forward and he hit the car in front and pushed it 8 feet into the intersection. He came home and was so shaken up that he handed me his keys and said that it was time. I apolozige if I've offended you. I certainly don't know how well you drive and if I am wrong I wish you many years of happy driving. But we are all concerned and I hope that when my time comes to give up the keys someone who loves me will tell me.

I love driving or riding my bicycle in new places. But I prefer the smaller roads, life is more laid back, and you don't have to drive really fast. I don't get lost! I just find new routes. LOL We do have a GPS now, but it is wrong at times. Give me a map, and I can figure out where to go. That works for the overall scheme of driving. But yesterday going to my new allergy doctor, I drove around two buildings twice, before I called them and asked them where they are. She said, take the second drive. Well, it was the third drive, and if she had just told me the entrance is on the east side, of the first building I could have found it faster. Last week in Tulsa, was similar. Lady said, turn right at the Quick Trip. Well, doesn't that depend from which direction you come??? Just tell me, turn south at such and such a street (and know, what the street number or name is!!) and don't tell me, we are in a red brick two story building if the building isn't red! That woman needs someone to tell her, how to give directions. LOL Moni... who likes to "explore" new routes. :)

Better than what happened to me. I was walking across the parking lot toward my car when I saw a lady in her huge SUV parked next to my, walking around her vehicle to look at mine. She was pulling into the spot next to me and nailed my bumper, rear panel, passenger door and front door as she was pulling in. Fortunately I was right there so she couldn't deny or get away. She tried saying the damage to her front bumper was from when she hit some garbage cans and I informed her that her silver paint was all over the side of my car. (What I couldn't understand is how she hit my car and proceeded to park anyway. I mean wouldn't you normally stop at the sound of the first crunch rather than keep going?? I mean she scraped the whole side of my car!) Then she confessed that she'd also not pulled her vehicle in the garage far enough and closed the garage door down on her car. She complained that the vehicle was just too big for her and she couldn't judge how big it was. I agreed she'd be better off with a smaller one. I finally got my car back. So fortunate to have a terrific body shop and they negotiated with the insurance co. so they paid in full. My car looks better than new now, they did such a great job! But I did have to live without it for 10 days. I guess the moral of the story is, if you get a new vehicle, presume it's larger than you think so you don't hit things.

So the mystery continues but the package arrived. My landline phone rang four times which mean it's a legit call. My weather radio just issued a siren so I had trouble hearing. When I turned it off this guy who I thought was a telemarketer was, in fact, the FedEx driver. He said where did I want the package delivered. I said NOT the front porch but either the side porch or the other street door which is where they always are. I asked if it would be delivered today and he said it's at that door. Turns out he was in the FedEX truck parked at my side street where the package was. Where it was for the last 24 hours is a mystery. This guy was as articulate as a five year old. But it's a big box and my husband was right about it not being stolen. That has never happened around here but I am a suspicious by nature person. I guess I watch too many crime shows.
