I have just loaded Outlook on a new notebook, Outlook 2002. I've used this version of Outlook since 2002, but alas that notebook did a big crash. The good news, I had all but the last two days of message folders on a back up drive, in a folder called "Exchange". Now, on my old XP home there was a folder called "OutlookFolders" which had "Exchange" and other details in it. So, all I need to do is copy the back-up data into the new computer's "OutlookFolders", but I can't find them, nor can the XP search. I do have folders maked to shoe hidden. Any help would be appreciated.

If she also has VistaMail in addition to Outlook (which is a part of Office) she can use HTML and put music in her e-mails. But if she's using Outlook, I believe she must use plain text only.

I guess Thunderbird is looking for Outlook Express which is no longer around. Have you tried double clicking on the .wab file to see if the windows mail program will open it? Whatever version of windows mail is included with Win 7 should open the file and then you should be able to export it as a csv file. If double clicking doesn't open it try right clicking on it and then click open with and see if some mail program is on the list.

hi Melissa, ..I'm not sure what has gone wrong there, but in case you're not aware of this, you may be able to view any saved passwords on your computer, including those you have long since forgotten. It depends on which web browser and Windows system you are using, assuming you are using Windows and not Linux or Mac... If using Windows 8, go to Control panel - User Accounts - Credential Manager, and then you will see a list of your passwords. You might have to key in another password to access them if you normally do so when switching on your computer. If using Mozilla Firefox as a web browser, then click on Tools (at the top of page), Options - Security - Saved Passwords... and you will find them there.. ...then I think I would try and reinstate my old email address for this purpose and use the password again... ...see how you get on...
