Anyone Have The Aged Pewter Finish Faucets From Delta?

Love the look of this color. But worried about water spots (we have well water--well was just put in for new build). I definitely don't want high maintenance fixtures where you HAVE to wipe them dry after EVERY use or you end up with a water spot nightmare. Anyone have these or a similar finish?

I'm pretty sure I have the aged pewter (98% sure) and is is NOT a water spot nightmare at all. In fact, hardly anything shows, and I've been happy with them for 4 years.

Thanks for the reply, Tinker. This may seem like a weird question, but do all your faucets match in color (sink, tub, shower)? The tub I want only comes with chrome or satin nickel drains (there are 2 of them). Do you think the pewter will clash? Some of these choices are difficult to make when you don't have all the facts (i.e. water hardness), much less it being a finish I've never owned.

How is your new kitchen plan coming along? I can't wait to see your finished product!! I really, really like that house & the beautiful lot it's on. I am so happy for you that you were able to get it. It looks like a piece of paradise to me.

Thanks to all for the input. Indiana has very hard water; so I was wondering what it will do to that Venetian bronze. It sounds like it's no worse than anything else. We're also mixing different styles and metals throughout the house. Maybe it's because DH is a Gemini. HEE HEE Deciding on one thing is difficult for him. I wanted mostly VB myself.

We went to a showroom and compared finishes just like you are describing. Some are really different. We are doing Delta and Moen and they look similar enough but we aren't mixing in the way you are. I think we have one bath with a moen shower and delta faucet or vice versa. On your other point, I would check the plumbing forum. I know that shower valves are specific to the brand and parts are not interchangeable. I have no idea about rain shower heads though. Good Luck!

I have a vessel sink bathroom with orb faucet, antique chrome tp holder, chrome trim on the toilet, and then an old toilet tank with verdigris and brass. So maybe I am not the person to ask! I think if you are going at all rustic, and the rest of the palette is muted, mixing is fine. You need to be more careful in a modern space or a very formal space or with "near misses", ie things that look like you tried to match but failed.

We have the Delta aged pewter faucets in our master. There is no water spot problem. We did mix and match finishes-- the faucets on the double sink vanity are the only things in the pewter finish. We did the shower fixtures, towel racks and light fixtures in brushed nickel. It looks great. I think doing everything in the aged pewter would have been too much.

mydreamhome, thanks.. the new house is progressing slow, it's a bit overwhelming! I do just adore the house, so it is worth the pain.

My faucets all match, I'm so silly about thinking they have to match, but I think I "over think" it way too much! I have seen lots of beautiful homes with mixed hardware, and unless you are actually looking for it, you don't really notice!
