I *think* this is the finish on my Delta kitchen faucet. The color is fine, very similar to brushed nickel (does that sounds right?) No problems at all with water spotting. It gets a little fingerprinty, but I just use the same stainless cleaner I use in the rest of the kitchen.

I don't remember the look of your kitchen. There are more things with the Danze which is more traditional looking, but it has very modern lines. The Allora is exactly the current style, and has the integrated spray and handle. You can get a Tapmaster for hands free :) Both have good lines. The main advantage to the one hole is not having to clean around three. The Danze looks shiny. Were you thinking shiny for the Allora as well? Shiny is harder to keep shiny but not hard enough to warrant rejecting it :) Personally, I'm not fond of simple curved pipes with no ends (aerators or whatever), so that's a strike against the Danze for me, but if that doesn't bother you that's no help :) Is there another one you prefer a lot more that was rejected for price? Sometimes if looking for a less expensive similar one doesn't excite, it's worth looking for something really different.

We are having a kitchen remodel done. I prefer the Moen Ascent Faucet , but the CSL (Classic Stainless model) will delay our install date by about a week. I can get the Delta Allora on time. Questions: In terms of quality - does the Delta Allora compare to the Moen Ascent? Is the Moen warranty better than the Delta warranty? Is the Ascent worth $200 (~60%) more than the Allora? Is it worth waiting an extra week? Either one would have to be compatible with a Blanco Niagara U2 undermount sink. Are there any gotchas re: the sink and either faucet? I have always thought sinks can mix and match, but I want to be sure. That's so nice of you to take the video! It's so hard to make these decisions just by looking at the item. Most of the time, at the Big Box stores they are displayed so high up you can't even touch them, let alone work the nozles and switches. In a perfect world maybe they'd actually be hooked up to plumbing! As for the cigarettes (OP mentioned) I just thought I'd mention without being preachy that I found a product that helped me quit smoking in 12 days. It is a prescripton pill called CHANTIX. I had absolutely no cravings or feelings of deprivement. It curbed my "appetite" for smoking the first few days and suddenly on day 12 I was getting ready for bed and realized I didn't smoke all day. I took the prescription for a total of 5 weeks and decided I could go on my own from there. I've only had one cigarette since and it wasn't pleasant. Just thought I'd put that in there so if anyone is offended, please disregard. I just hope I can spark your interest if you do smoke because I cannot tell you what a pleasure it is to have that monkey off my back! I do think it would be nice to have a cigarette, maybe once a week and then I tell myself I don't do that anymore and the feeling passes quickly! By the way it is going on 4 months now.
