I'm guessing this is what you're wanting to do. What I did: Open the color picture in your program. Copy or open the same picture on top of the 1st one. Change the top picture to black & white. Then, using the Eraser option, erase the areas you want to have color. I use an older version of Adobe PhotoDeluxe, but I'm sure you can do it in whatever program you're using. I'd say it's pretty much the same procedure. You're going to need two copies of the color picture, change the top one to b/w and just remove the areas where you want color.

There is a wonderful simple tool (free) you can downwload, Snipping Tool. Do a search on the Computer Help forum. ( Vista also has a Snipping tool I believe) You select the area you wish to copy. You can then paste it into Word pad or a document , OR save the "snip" as a JPG.

Maybe "frame with background". I don't know if PowerPoint has custom frames. You might need different software. You'd compose the picture with frame in software of your choice, save the image files, and then import the images into PowerPoint.

Dear Deb, I am faced with the same problem. My mom, 3 brother's, and my daughter, would like a copy of my scrapbook, and I don't have the resources to have all of my photos recopied. I have seen some nice photo software in the stores, that have some frames in them, however since I have a webtv, there is no where for me to load the disc into no matter how useful, so I am not sure which one would work the best for you. I do all of my scanning at my daughter's house. If you find anymore good sites though please let us know. Penny
