Very nice all- Judith has been a good mentor and you've been an excellent student.

Since it's a somewhat whimsical fall arrangement, I would use some sheetmoss under everything so it looks like earth and the scattered leaves have fallen on the ground/moss. I also think using some around the insides of the sugar bowl to hide stems would make the crystal pop.

Oh Luvs, I saw those pumpkins on the table in one of your store pics and was going to ask if they were on your list since you posted about them not long ago. Glad you got one. It's a pretty one too.

Luvs, that last photo of the whole vignette is going in the Inspiration album. I LUV it. You did a great job on the plates. And I think the beaded ornaments are very pretty there.
Jim's suggestions sound excellent. Tho I am not sure WHAT sheet moss is exactly. But I love the look of moss in certain settings.

Luvs, you did a wonderful job, I know it looks even more beautful in person. Photographing "shiny" things is a difficult thing to capture sometimes, but I can tell that it sparkles! The only think "I" might add is one or two of the little glass ornamnet birds to the stacking dish. I was at Kmart last weekend and they were already putting out Xmas stuff and they had a ornament box of 3 birds (with the little feathers on their "ends" LOL, I love using those, but that is just me) :) They were not too expensive for the box. Then you could pop one of the remaining birdies on leaves of the lovely container with the fall leaves. I really thought you did wonderful and whether you want to add the birdies or not, it's a great job. The "Give Thanks" pumpkin is beautiful too, great purchase!

Jim, that's a good suggestion. I added those leaves because I didn't like it just bare, and I didn't like it with a long doily under it. Nice to have you commenting, you should chime in more often. ;o)

Thanks Anj, I normally wouldn't pay that much for a pumpkin, but really liked that one, and it will last forever. The flowers on the sugar bowl just matched the leaves I was putting in it so well--meant to be. And gives me another chance to tell DIL that it is a family heirloom so they don't just toss it when I'm gone! LOL

Thanks Jaybird, the stacked plates are fun but challenging to do. This time I had a harder time deciding what else to put on the buffet top.

Karen, you might want to wait a while to add it to your inspiration file although I am flattered. Like I said, this is still a work in progress. I'm hoping to find a better topper and maybe add some other things to make it better.

Do you think I should buy a couple more pumpkins to use instead of the gold beaded ornaments? I just "plopped" them there because it "needed" something.

And Kathleen, that has been the case ever since I found the Gardenweb forums! First needed lots of glass for totems from the GJ forum and then here with all the pretty tablesettings and vignettes. It is fun though, and gets me out of the house! LOL

Speaking of shopping, I'm off this morning to hit the TS with two of my neighbors. Hopefully, we will make it to three or four of them. Wish us luck!

I like the gold beaded ornaments, it fits in with your other sparkly items. Plus when you do a thing like a stacking plate, it is more interesting to have "different" but similar in theme items, which you have. You can add the one red bird you have as an "accent" on your stacking plates and that would be really pretty. The birdie, would add another thematic element to the over all look, but it is NOT necessary if you want to leave it off because your stacking plates are already very pretty!

You did a bang-up job.

Luvs, thought of you when I was in Dollar King. They had little bird ornaments! I found a Pfaltsgraff clearance center by accident, OH BOY!!! 2 doors down from the Outlet.. Karen, I got a few more of those star plates...1.99. They didn't have that many, but he said they get more stuff every week... another place I will be visiting. The trunk is full! Then I went to 2 Targets, and Lenox and Mikassa. Lots of goodies!

I've got to try my hand at the stacked plates. I bought a set back in the spring after I saw Judith's, but I've never tried to decorate them. Maybe at Christmas to use on my bar...

Dream, don't wait on the plates any longer....LOL. You can do them cute with Halloween stuff, or go straight to Fall, and by Xmas you'll be an old hand at them. They are too fun and you need to jump in and enjoy. I was thinking about doing mine for Halloween but think I might just do a Fall one instead since I have been buying decor for that.
Really don't want to spend much on Halloween decor, LOL.

Love all of it, but that last pic is truly beautiful. You did a terrific job at pulling all the colors together. I really like the way the rose and purple colors compliment the plates on the wall. And the gold is a perfect accent.

I think the moss would look nice, too, although I do like the leaves - they're festive looking. I guess it depends on the mood you want to create.

I shudder to think how many places my cats would hide those leaves. I'd be finding them until NEXT fall! lol!

Karen is right Dream--once you start with the first one, then you will be constantly looking for things to go on your next one! Just ask me, I keep finding little cherubs at TS and picking them up thinking they will be great for Valentine's stacked plates. And it's not that I'm that organized--they are just there now and I figure I'd better get them while I can. ;o)

I started my Fall decorating today, and my cats were very interested. Three of them basically just look and do a sniff test on new stuff, LOL. Then there's Ty, aka BratCat.
I learned last Xmas, when he kept taking ornaments off a tree, that if I let him keep one he'd leave the rest alone. So may have to let him have his own for Fall too. Will see.
He occasionally takes something off my stacked plates that strikes his fancy. Have to admit, he makes decorating a bit of challenge at times.
I will get pix of my stuff over the weekend. I made two florals with the faux pumpkins, one is a surprise for my DD.
And I did a pumpkin totem for the fireplace hearth. Also got the front porch decorated a bit.

Went ahead and got all the pix for you, tho not totally done. My stacked plates always seem to be the cutesy variety, and yet I love the gorgeous ones Judith does... and now you've done a really beautiful one. Maybe for Xmas I'll get it figured out how to do mine this way.

Forgot to comment on the plates in the other pic. Just so many pretties in those pics! Your's look really pretty too. I think each of us just has to do what we like--no right or wrong way--just pretty items displayed in a more unusual way. I love that "vine" with the berries you used.
