Help me get off my hands and knees to clean my laminate floors!
Comments (13)I think you might like the Shark Steam Mop. It works great on any kind of floor mess that I've run across, and I imagine it would do fine with dog drool. I clean up all kinds of sticky, gloppy kitchen messes off my maple hardwood floor....it is amazing how dried up stuff dissolves with the application of the steam. If you like the effect of the vinegar on your floors, spritz some on the floor before you use the mop, as you can't put anything but water in the mop chamber. The Shark has a microfiber pad that you can toss to the floor and then put the mop right on it, as the velcro will grab the pad. You really don't have to bend over at all while using it....See MoreLaminate floor cleaning
Comments (10)I clean houses for a living and can't believe all the people lining up for laminante floors or the engineered wood floors for that matter they are not easy up keep and to be honest the only good job on these floors is on your hands and knees with a rag and a bucket of water with a little castile soap and a drying towel to dry behind you I have paid countless money and have tried at least a dozen useless expensive products. I even quit one of my jobs with about 1200 square feet of this flooring with a million water drops on it every week lol. I know its all good but I'll take carpets and call the carpet cleaner every six months...See Morecleaning laminate floors
Comments (5)Thank you for your message. I may be way over thinking this and may be a little paranoid about ruining the floors too. A friend is having her kitchen tiled right now because her laminate was a mess. The installer told her that he could tell she was using excess moisture when cleaning her laminate because it had moisture damage to it (not from being on a cement slab). She has used a steam mop and some sort of mop that sprays the liquid out. I just don't want to end up in her position. If you only use solution every third cleaning, what do you use the other times?...See Moresteam cleaning laminate floors
Comments (5)From my understanding, you are to only clean laminate with a damp mop like a swiffer or a shammie thingy. Water will damage a laminate floor. I have used a scrubbruch with water in 1x1 area to clean dirt out of light maple floor but I wiped up water immediatly. Plus I did not care because I was ripping up the floor anyway as it was buckling from prior owners bad install. But again, very damp mop is all I have ever heard of being safe....See Morebrutuses
