Anyone Have the New Jenn-Air Combo Ovens?

I'm wondering if anyone has one of the new Jenn-Air double ovens with the micro-convection on top and the convection oven on the bottom? They seem to be new and very few reviews out there.

I get that they are made by WP but they have very different specs than other similar WP or KitchenAid products. One of the combos actually has a speed oven in the upper slot. Only in 30" though.

Jenn-Air seems to be positioned as a step up from KitchenAid. The JA has better specs then the KA, so I'm wondering if it is just newer and the KA version may be upgraded? Also the JA pricing seems to be controled like E'lux and some other brands and they are not cheap. I mean this is WP so I'm not sure if it rates the high end marketing. It does look nice though and it would fit (the 27" version) well in our existing opening and would be at a better height for my wife vice the separates we now have.

I've had the new Jenn-Air combo oven for a couple of months now and have been very happy with it. I got the 30" SS microwave oven (without convection)/convection oven combination. The one you are referring to is an upgraded model and has a larger LCD control panel so I think the user menus are a bit different. I agree the specs on the JA are better than the KA and were worth the extra money for me. (I really only had a choice between the KA and JA combo due to space constraints)

My one complaint about the unit is that once the microwave has finished cooking the fan stays on until you open the door. I see no useful reason for this and forces me to get over to the microwave sooner because I can't stand the fan noise. This probably wouldn't bother most people though.

I've heard a simila issue with the fan on either the KA or WP combo oven. The ones that works best for us is the 27" and they only make one version of it.

NOTHING BUT TROUBLE: I bought a new one...Had it for 4 weeks & they had to replace it. The 2nd one I have had in service now for less than 2 months. Altogether I have had the service team out 6 times all total. 6 times. The unit was professionally installed. The LP Gas conversion was the first issue they said as it didn't work at all correctly. Something wrong with the unit that they simply couldn't fix. Now the Oven doesn't work right and the burners still do not work evenly with "popping" noises and changes in gas flame heights without touching any control buttons. Looks Great! Pretty Stove. But useless if you can't use it - especially for $10k. I bought ours from Fergussons in Nashville TN and their people are unable to do anything - bad service team as their technicians actually use youtube to work on the unit.....that has to be a bad issue. (NOTE: the JennAir matching dishwasher dumps water all over my new floors and cabinets. We had a full kitchen renovation) To say we are unhappy with the product is an understatement and yet it seems we are stuck with it thus far until the next steps whatever they are. What insurance are you talking about? Did you do a walk thru/inspection before buying the house? You MIGHT have some recourse against the seller if they misrepresented the condition of the appliances, but that is very iffy. I doubt your homeowner's insurance would cover this and you would incur higher premiums and/or cancellation for filing such a claim. I usually turn the unit on around 10pm/11pm and the total run time using the Normal or Pots/Pans mode is close to two hours. The way it was explained to me is that during the final rinse (when the liquid rinse aid is dispensed) it heats the water up to a higher temp (since there is an internal water heater in the Miele units). Then when it drains and goes into the drying mode, there is a small fan that activates and draws cool air in from the room and circulates it around the stainless steal cavity of the unit. This causes condensation drying, as the moisture in the dishwasher is drawn to the cooler walls. It does this for about 20 minutes. The next morning when we open the unit up, there is no water or dampness on the door or sides. All the dishes and pans are dry. Cups and glasses are dry (except for any ponding that can occur on their concave bottoms), and all the silverwear is dry in the top cutlery rack. But any plastic/tupperwear containers and their lids will still have water beads all over them and have to be dried by hand. This is because those tupperwear items don't heat up much from the water, so the rinse raid doesn't work well on them.

DOOOOOO NOT buy anything jen air! i have the jjw2830 oven for a little over a month is broken. it turns off and has errors and jen airs great fix is to rip it out of my custom built cabinet take the entire unit apart in my brand new kitchen while they talk the repair guy threw the fix OVER THE PHONE. hello the errors are a wiring problem they want to rip wires out of my electric oven and put it back in. Jen Air has the worst customer service ever and if i could take them back witch believe me i have tried i would! oh did i mention i have had my dishwasher repaired twice already in a month of owning them for it pouring water out of the door causing me to not even be able to use my 2,000 dishwasher! good luck but i would look into a different brand all together. now that i have bought them i have read all the other bad things that jen air has done they are a bad company to give your money to.

Reviews of the WP complain about excessive hot air coming from the oven. How is the Jenn-Air?

Also reviewers of the KA say it (I assume the convention oven fan) is loud... unusually loud. How is the Jenn-Air?

They've had a combo oven with a high-speed oven/microwave on top for years - usually Kitchenaid-branded, but there was a Whirlpool-brand version for awhile too. I don't think the speed-oven part is any different regardless of brand; likewise, the interior width of the speed-oven section is the same regardless of whether you get a 27" or 30" wide oven; only the lower oven is wider on the 30".

Hot air certainly comes out from the oven vents, but I don't know if its excessive as I don't have any experience with other ovens. (other than my 20 yr old KA oven where I never noticed hot air). As for the convection oven fan, I can hear it if I listen for it but I think its pretty quiet actually. Maybe the KA reviewer was referring to the microwave fan? I do think that is loud.
