Dare I Swap?

We've moving permanently to our house where I have a Viking "electric radiant" smoothtop 36" installed in a stainless steel counter.

I'd like to swap it out for a Gaggenau induction unit.

The cutout dimensions are very close.

Gagg needs 34-7/8" x 19-5/8" x 4-3/16"

Vike: 34-3/4" x 19-3/4" x 4-1/2"

It looks as if it would be OK -- any caveats?

Also, anyone have experience with induction units and power outages?

This is an optional switch out. I can buy a single induction burner for spaghetti and my copper pots not chance a boatload of repair and aggravation.

But if it was OK, it would be a huge functional improvement.
