Recommend HandHeld Vacuum to Clean Cooktop

I'd like to purchase a hand held vacuum to clean the top of my DCS range. (Most of the cooktop is recessed, which prevents me from wiping debris straight to my hand. Sucking the stuff up seems like the way to go.)What type of hand-held do you recommend? I thought a corded one might be easier than dealing with charging the thing, except that many of them have a very long cord, which might just creat unnecessary bulk. I also don't want to damage the stove's surface. A not-too-loud one would be a bonus. I'm getting cross-eyed looking at all of the choices online. Ideally, I'd like to try them out, but I guess it's not easy to find a store that has them on display. Any recommendations would be most helpful!
