Has Anyone Spray Painted Their Bathroom Fixtures?

I'm trying to update an old bathroom and went with tub doors in oil rubbed bronze. Didn't realize it would be so hard to find a 3 handle tub/shower replacement set to replace the ugly chrome 1960's set there. While it's not a problem finding a matching sink, the tub/shower set is another story with only a couple options available on the web, with none being a clear winner when it comes to reviews.

Was wondering if anyone has tried to spray paint their fixtures, especially ones that will get water and soap scum on them, and if so, what they used and what the outcome has been.

I contacted Krylon and they said that it can be done. They have an oil rubbed bronze spray, so I may just try on the old set, but was thinking of getting a newer looking chrome set and trying that. I just don't want to do it if it's going to have problems down the road.

I also want to keep the current sink that has the silver ring around it, and spray that as well.
