A Monday Hello

Good mornining All, Sorry I have nothing to post pics of, just haven't been doing much lately, but I wanted to at least stop by and say hello.

I should have taken a couple pics of our meals in the motorhome so I could have shared my Corelle dishes with you. They really do work great for traveling,-- lightweight, stack well, go in freezer or microwave, and even look pretty! DH is not crazy about paper or plastic plates, and hates plastic silverware--so the Corelle is a good alternative.

New computer is wonderful. So fast and the pics look so pretty on it! DH is still transferring over my pictures and saved favorites. I probably have way more saved than I really need--but those inspiration pics are so fun to look at. However, since Miss Karen has created that great album for us, maybe I won't have to save so many now. Thank you again Karen, that was such a neat idea and so sweet of you to put that together.

So what are all of you doing? Yard work? Relaxing in the yard or on a beach? Shopping? Vacation? Organizing? Whatever you do, hope you are enjoying yourself. Have a great day.

humpf...I'm working......but thankful for a good job that I like!!
Glad you are getting to do some traveling and that your new computer is good!! We will be looking for pictures soon!

I envy you Luvs...traveling in your 'Motorhome'. What fun.
I love to travel..haven't done so in a while. Nice to see so many different and beautiful places right here in our own Country. And to think you get to have your computer too! Sounds like you've got everything organized and under control..good for you.
Yesterday, three of the 'first shift' of gkids went home..and that kept us busy and tired. Now, the oldest is here..and he's got plans for US, with tomorrow's request to
go down to the city to the Museum...that should be fun.
As jaybird said...looking forward to some pics..and yes please do take care and travel safely.

Debra- I got PEARL FINALE at Perfect Perennials along with the Thomas intros. I have noticed this year how much nicer the flowers are (larger and more numerous) on both the Thomas intros planted last year and all the Hibbard intros. Those Hibards really needed the time to grow and look just smashing this year.

QOD - I WAS supposed to go camping this weekend, but I am staying home inside my nice warm, DRY house. I have plenty to keep me busy here, but I was looking forward to a walk in the woods, a nice campfire and some fresh air. DeeMarie - I am glad the reading went well. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with Shel Silverstein. After I suggested him to you, I started rereading The Sidewalk Never Ends and remembered all over again why I love his work. Besh - 7 days and counting!! Raeanne - What good books are you considering curling up with? Not that I need to add any more books to my TBR pile! LOL Since I joined Paperback Swap, my TRB pile has grown out of control. And if I haven't said so yet, WTG on sticking with your WOE!! You rock! Tikanas - Did we ever hear about your birthday package from Raeanne? I love to hear about what others received. Maddie - Front and center young lady!! BJ - Same for you!! NHSuzanne - How is Tillie? You haven't mentioned her in awhile. Milkdud - Are you back from visiting your son? Did you get to talk with Patti? Zig - The early bird gets the rabbit! LOL I too tried to stay up to say rabbit-rabbit, but didn't make it. I am trying to get back on my school schedule, which means no more late nights. :~( School starts for me on Tuesday and I am not mentally ready to give up my summer. I am trying to get some things done (that I put off for too long) in the hopes that I can at least start with a clean house and a short to-do list. I fully expect to be crabby for the next two weeks! DH has been warned. But on the bright side, DS is finally coming home for a visit next weekend. He is in a wedding in State College, so I will only see him Thursday night and Sunday afternoon, but that is better than nothing. DD called and she has a fever and a sore throat. I hate when they are sick and far from home. :~( Since it is cold today (high of 59Âº!!) I am going to self-clean my oven. I hate to do that when it is too hot out. Good morning Anj, good to hear from you. SNOW! No way! DH and I have both said that before we travel, we will really have to keep an eye on the weather--never dreamed your area would get snow before month end at the earliest! The first one always looks sorta pretty, doesn't it? But having to deal with it gets old quickly, huh? Glad you survived the sleepover. How do you get the boys and your little one to let big sister and her friends have some privacy? Or do they get to join in on everything? Don't you hate it when an appliance quits on us? And always right when we need it the most. At least you can run down and use your Mom's. Guess I know what you will be shopping for soon. It's especially bad if most appliances were bought at the same time cause then they tend to have to be replaced around the same time! Did you get your tires taken care of? DH says we need to replace the ones on our little jeep. It's our tow vehicle for behind the motor home, so the tires get more wear. We already replaced the ones on the motor home last year. I've not really been painting either, just trying to finish up those little signs. I thought my decorations outside looked pretty nice, until the Santa Anna winds out of the east came last night! LOL We always get them in October and they always blow my garland and stuff off ! I really feel bad for the couple down at the end of the street, because allot of the leaves pile up there. It was DIL's birthday this time, little GD's isn't until May. It went well, and as usual, little one didn't want to go home! Gma needed for her too though--I'd had her Friday all day, then from Saturday afternoon until about 5:30 yesterday, so I was pretty tired. I keep trying to get her to play more by herself, but she thinks that Gma is supposed to play with her. And she never wants to go to sleep at night, then wakes up early next morning too! LOL She's had a cough and stuffy nose, so now I'm getting it too I think--or maybe mine is just from all the stuff in the air from the winds--but I'm coughing and stuffy too. Well, DH wanted to go to the Fairplex to the RV show. I'm not gung ho about it, don't need anything and sure don't want him getting any ideas about newer motor homes! But if he wants, I guess we can go for awhile. Maybe we'll have lunch out too. I'll check in again later. Get as much rest as you can, you need it. Good day to just curl up with a warm blanket and watch old movies. ;o) Luvs

I am exhausted and for the longest time I felt guilty about it. But in order for me to be a good mom I need time outs too. Being an instant mom to three little girls has been tough and the learning curve for DH and I has been huge. Thank goodness we are all learning together. We have our melt downs but they seem to be less and easier. Right now our biggest challenges seem to be a lot smaller than they used to. The girls bio mom is no longer in the picture and that has made it so nice. We are getting ready to celebrate my grandparents 60 wedding anniversary and I'm not quite sure how we are going to handle this yet since the girls bio mom will be there and so will her mom, the girls grandmother. I don't want to miss it so for right now the plan is for me to attend and leave the girls with their dad. They live out of state so it will be the first time I will be away from the girls but I don't want to put them in a situation they aren't ready for either. We'll figure it out.

Hi Luvs, so glad your computer is up and pleasing you!
It has been very hot here, and no rain of any conseq. for a month. The weeds grow..well, like WEEDS. So I have been doing a lot of yard work.
The hydrangea are all bloomed and lots of lilies too..
Sunday we were gone all day for a Christening , over an hour away.
Yesterday i went for lunch with a friend, hit Pottery Barn Wm SOnoma, and Home Goods. Just some more naps at 70 off at WmSonoma, nothing on sale at Home Goods..

I had Corelle for years in our summer cottage and loved the ease of it. No dishwasher, so they were easy to wash and stack, like you said. They have so many pretty patterns now too. Mine, still have them packed away, were white with a double yellow band...Never broke one!

Luvs, glad you are having fun on the road and that your computer is working well.

Been busy here with going to work and DD came home for a visit last wknd. Had a few day trips on the Harley with DH but as you know with "railroaders", his time off is quite variable so we just have mini-vacations when we can. The weather has been nice for a couple weeks now so I am appreciating just having my morning coffee outside in the cabana before heading off to work.

Luv, I am glad to hear you are haveing a good time, I so envy you (in a good way :) I have been off work all week, and for a change a week of relaxation...no doctors....HEAVEN LOL

Corelle is great, I have had many patterns over the years, I do have the plain white which I use alot too, they are really great when it comes to how light they are and like you mentioned they stack great in a small amount of space. Where are you traveling right now?
