No holiday pics but good intentions!

Ahhhh, I am out of steam! Trying to garden, trying to get some holiday decor done, trying to clean house....and it rains, rains, rains, storms, storms, storms! UGH!

Stay tuned for the beg of the week & I will share some pics of Flag Day/July 4th decor! I just finished a bit ago with the LR/Dining area ...and now must wait for daylight to take some pics...also, lost electricity for awhile!

Kids coming home tomorrow, Farmer's Market in the morning (if it's not raining), & book club at my house Mon. night...keeps ya' hoppin', right! Life is good!

Jeanne, I love your tipsy pots with the watering cans and tubs. Your flowers spilling out of them are such a pretty color too. I have the flower pot tipsy stack in my back yard--had to make one when I saw them on the GJ forum back when I first found it--lots of fun ideas over there.

I just heard on the news that the Midwest states are getting hit with lots of storms and rain, rain, rain. Makes it hard for farmers to get in the fields and for gardeners to get things planted--we usually have the opposite problem out here--not enough rain and having watering restrictions!

Hope you got rested up a bit and that you'll get to go to the Farmer's market. TTYL

Oh Jeanne your tipsy pots are darling. Do these look this good all summer? I have a hard time keeping things like this alive. Luvs, you have one too. You ladies are so creative.

Will look forward to your holiday decor. We have company coming for 10 days so I'm sure it will be hard for me to keep up.

Your weather sounds exactly like ours. DH is bridge forman for this county so he's been running high water and putting in long hours.

Luvs, speaking of farmers, no one here has been able to start haying and most usually have the 1st crop up by the 4th of July. Hope the rain slows long enough for then to get some haying done soon.

Well, here's how the little tray turned out. I remember I also had a Delft style rabbit hinged box so added that. The dog and candle have long been there, except during holidays. I don't know what's going on with me and my flash but we are NOT friends last few times. Weird glare now on the wall. Not to mention the blue color is a LOT prettier, and not as light as shows. So ignore my mistakes and focus on my tray please. Jeanne, maybe you should have put BOTP in the subject, LOL. Then everyone would have rushed to see what the heck was going on. OMGosh, Jeanne, you really hit a jackpot....I think you just gave Candy a run for her Bargain Queen title. LOL. At least for one round. So MANY wonderful things that I hardly know where to start. But the big Santa in the first photo really is fabulous. I'd have gladly paid a LOT more for him. The little Elf reading the book is just darling, and perfect for you. But all the elves are cute and the little fairy girl too. I'm so glad Dollbaby now has her very own cloche. You'll have to find her some miniatures to put in it. I have to applaud your restraint, coming home with only two boxes. I shudder to think of the load I'd have bought, and no place to put any of it. The only restraint I have is to NOT GO shopping in the first place. LOL. You did good, Girl. And should be grinning all week over it. hugs, Karen

Jeanne...cute thread. Your 'BOP' is so darn cute..I think if I went in there, it would make me want to hang around - just to enjoy the scenery! I think all that's needed is some Christmas Music. I remember OA did that for her Halloween Party. I love your sweet little angel..and the fact that she was handed down from your DGM to Mom to you. Your little silver tree with the birdies is so adorable. You said you just got that tree...did you buy it new? My mother bought me one just like it when I was a teenager...and I just loved it...I haven't seen any like that since...Only ALL silver. I'd love to know if they are selling that style tree again. I enjoyed seeing OA & Punks BOB..and thought they were cute too. Nice to see you added them here...I think they'll enjoy that. jane

I love your decorations, being in the south we don't see many ice skates but I like the idea. My favorite decorations are the things we have saved over the years - even the old aluminum tree - I still do not understand why my mother bought that thing when you couldn't put lights on it. For some strange reason, I still like it, maybe for the memories it brings back.

Jeanne, I commented on GJ on these so you know I love them.
My tipsy pots have to get silk flowers, but I do have fun decorating them for the different holidays/seasons.
If I wasn't a Serial Flower Killer, I'd love to have wave petunias in mine. I think they look so pretty when I've seen photos of them. Oh well, at least I don't have to worry about watering in this blasted heat.

Thanks, ladies ...glad you enjoyed my Tipsey Buckets! The Wave Petunias do get leggy for me & don't last all summer...at least looking this pretty! But I thought I'd give them a try & June certainly has been rewarding with all the natural watering!

"Serial Flower Killer"...purplemoon, OMGosh, so LOL over that statement! Remember you live in AZ! I can't imagine the summer heat & not much rain! Your gardens are beautiful the way you do them!
