My Western Red Ceder appear to be drying out, how can I give them
Comments (1)first.. inform your seller .... of how many seem to be browning.. perfect your guarantee ... they may reship in fall for replacement ... second.. stop watering unless your finger.. inserted to 3 inches.. indicated the soil is dry .... next.. what type of soil do you have .... did you plant them at the proper height .... at the point where they were planted prior ... finally .... i would not start shaping them for a year or two .. if you have good soil .. NEVER feed them .... unless a soil test indicates something is lacking from you soil ... finally .... they were kind of big for bare root .... but that said.. consider that you planted 40 trees ... if a few die.. thats what happens when you work in volume .... even the pro's would expect some problems ..... exactly how many of the 40 have significant problems .... any chance you can post some pix???? ken...See Morehow do I get them to come to a new subdivision
Comments (5)I have never seen hummer use Jasmine and they mny investigate roses but that is about it. There isn't any nectar for hummers in roses. Although beautiful and eyecatching to humans these plants provide little to no value for hummers. You need to provide plants that they can feed on in addition to feeders. Salvia greggii and Salvia guaraniticas are a good suggestion. Also Salvia Lady in Red is becoming more available at many garden centers and seeds are readily available. It bloom early and all seaso long. Other good plant additons ar Coral Bells which is a perennial and coral honeysuckle (Lornicera sempervirens) is our native honeysuckle that starts blooming in early spring and is not at all aggressive like the white or yellow flowered Japanese honeysuckle. Comments (8)Floral is right. Put them in container with a free draining mix. These root quite easily. In late spring I trim all the leggy growth of my geraniums when putting them outside. I just stick the trimmings all around in the garden and most will strike roots in a few weeks with no extra protection. And I end up with nearly instant flower garden. Some of them even grow so fast that they are bigger than the mother plant in the hanging basket....See MoreHow do you get tough stains out of a tub?! Or does painting it work?!
Comments (32)I am with Kitchen Abode on the rubber mat issue. If you are willing to pick it up and it will dry after every use, then you can have one - ha! If you have a shower curtain with a tub, you will leave it inside the tub anyway, so it won't be in the way unless you get both a liner and a curtain. Instead, just get a plain or even decorative waterproof curtain and leave it inside. The caulk remover and the mold remover can make it so that the next caulk you put in will not adhere properly, so be sure to clean the surface really well before you caulk again. I did try using a tape caulk once and it was one ugly, moldy mess when I finally took it off. I never did find a way to stop the mold coming back on my caulk. It seemed to come from the back side, so I assumed the wall behind the tile was molding and it was "creeping" through. I solved the problem by removing the tub and the walls and putting in a big shower unit. No mold behind it, and no way for water to get behind the wall material (solid surface), either. With no "shoulder" as a tub has, I am hoping to never see mold again....See Morebayoung7
