Ventilation query for 48' range - Sirius?
Comments (3)I'm late to the party, but I have a Sirius pro insert (model SU901, ) and just adore it. (My range is a 40" vintage gas range with griddle, broiler, and 12,000 - 15,000BTU burners, so possibly comparable to yours?) The light is excellent with the 2 dichroic bulbs, I wouldn't want it brighter. The vent seems quite quiet to me, even at the top speed, which we rarely need. The thing sucks up HOGS like a champion. :-) And gorgeous design, to boot - love the stainless baffles. Got my Sirius on sale and it's one of the best features of my kitchen remodel, hands down. Highly recommend. Here is a link that might be useful: Sirius insert SU901...See MoreAnyone have a range hood with warming lights?
Comments (4)Do you happen to know the model you have and did that little shelf come with the stainless backsplash? I had ordered the VAH shelf pictured below. I decided that it felt a little flimsy, and I wanted the stainless all the way down the back of the range. So I took it to a metalworker and had him reproduce it in heavier gauge steel, extend it, and transfer the wire shelves from the VAH to mine. An alternative would be to just mount a separate sheet of stainless under the shelf. This is the VAH as purchased: http://docs.homeclick.com/product/VentAHoodWarmingShelfWSO30.jpg...See Moreanyone have a slide out range hood??
Comments (2)My parents have a Broan stainless slide out. They love it. They haven't said anything about cleaning it, but if it was a pain, I'm sure my mom would have told me all about it, lol. We're also considering a slide out....See MoreDoes anyone have any advice / experience with Zephyr Range Hoods?
Comments (17)We installed an under cabinet Zephyr in our lakehouse build 8 yrs. ago. It was our first experience with an outside venting hood and we were astounded at its efficiency vs. the OTR MW vents we'd had before. I use it all the time and it has never required servicing. Last year we installed a similar one in our remodel at home. I'm very pleased with that one, too. My style hoods are nothing special to look at, but they unobtrusively do the job with a minimum of noise. I'd have no hesitation going with another Zephyr or recommending one to a friend....See MoreHU-569295890
