Full StoryHi there. Ok, this is my first ever post here, so bear with me please. We are in the process of completely re-doing our kitchen. It has been totally gutted, expanded, and the cabinets are being made right now. We have chosen to go with a GE Monogram 48" dual fuel range with 4 burners, grill and griddle.(Seemed a better value for us than the Wolf with same features.) Now, the specs for the range recommend 1200 CFM for venting. The actual matching GE Monogram range hood insert is 1140 CFM. However, the GE one is too deep for the custom hood box my cabinet-maker is building, so he is recommending a Sirius pro hood insert which is 1100 CFM. It also has just 2 lights in it, vs. the 3 lights in the GE and some others I was looking at. So, my concern: is 1100 CFM sufficient for a 48" range? Especially one with a grill-top on it? Does anyone have experience with Sirius range hoods? Also, it is 6.6 decibels - is that noisy or quiet in the relative scheme of ventilation fans?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
