Best product to clean shower glass?
Comments (8)Putting myself through college with a housekeeping business the best product to clean glass shower doors of soap scum / water spots is trisodium phospate or TSP for short. Your local hardware store should have it in either powder or liquid form and is cheap. I've only used the powdered stuff and mixed it myself. Just wipe on with a sponge, rinse off with water and towel dry -cloth diapers, are great. Yes cloth diapers, they don't leave lint - Target & WalMart should have them. I still use it and it works on porcelain tubs too. * * *I don't know if it is safe to use on natural stone! So you may want to read the box or look it up on Wiki. Or maybe you've found something good already. I'd love to hear! Good luck!...See Moreshower squeegee
Comments (17)So a related question - towel? Really? What towel do you use? I mean, my bath towel is around my hair after I get out of the shower, and by the time I've done the moisturizer thing and so on, I really don't want to have to get back into the shower to wipe down the walls with a towel and get my towel sopping wet. If you use a separate towel (my instinct would be only to use a ratty old towel to try the tile anyway - not my pristine white bath towels) - do you have an extra bar to hang it on? Do I really want a ratty tile-drying towel hanging in my bathroom all the time? Anyone besides me NOT dry off the tiles? Does a good enough exhaust fan make this a moot point?...See MoreShower Squeegee Mania
Comments (22)The shower spray we use is a concentrate from Melaleuca (one of those sales rep organizations); my husband's very fond of their products altho I don't use most of them personally. The shower spray is mixed with water (5 oz to 27 oz of water to make a 1 qt spraybottle. It never leaves streaks or any oily film. About every six months I spray some directly on a sponge and whisk it around the bottom edges of the shower door if I see any cloudy scum starting to show up. No need to scrub; it comes right off and rinses clean. Our shower enclosure is completely frameless and it is, hands down, the easiest thing to keep clean in the entire house....See MoreSqueegee vs Microfiber towel for drying shower tile and glass
Comments (20)Just to clarify ..... this Platinum Pluffle (20" x 40") microfiber that I ordered is so different than any microfiber I have used. I have window (glass) microfiber cloths, shower microfiber cloths, generic microfiber (10 to a pack at box stores), stainless steel microfiber and 20 year old hair drying microfiber cloths and I like all of them except they do stick to your hand and don't work that easily in the shower. The Pluffle is more like a very soft baby blanket with waffle type pockets of fluffy fibers. I fold it up so it is actually 8 layers of 10" x 10" fluff in the palm of my hand. I make large swipes and just turn it over or refold it when it seems to be wet. It glides effortlessly across the tile and glass and is unlike any of my other microfiber cloths. It was so worth the cost!...See Morercinsf
