Deanna, My Braveheart is only in its second year and it did suffer badly from that big Easter Freeze. In fact, I was starting to get worried about it, but recently it has snapped out of its post-freeze funk and is looking like the rose I was so excited about last summer. However, like my other frozen roses, it is a bit shorter this year. Just hasn't had time to get back fully into its regular growing pattern. Presently it is about 3x3, but I think it should grow to be closer to 4x4. That said, I can report that the blooms are a lovely red that stays red; it blooms fairly regularly (hopefully even better next year--if we don't have another horrendous freeze!), and the blooms are long-lasting. It's been very hot here recently, but it handled the heat quite well--a bit of a burn around the edges, but nothing too serious. (I have other roses that just about burned up completely in our 100+ heat.) As for disease, it had quite a few problems as it struggled to recover from the Big Freeze, but now that it is thriving again, I'm seeing very little disease. That is how I remember it from last summer. I think last year I sprayed it a couple times in the spring and a couple times in the fall, and that was all. I'm so happy it is returning to "normal" again because I really, really like this rose. I think you will like it. Kate

I used yesterday to clean the filter on my down draft cooktop. Oy! I wish I had take before and after pics! It was (embarassingly) caked with greasy gunk. I sprayed both sides and let it sit. Went back about an hour later, rinsed and sprayed again. The took a brush and gently scrubbed. (it is a soft aluminum screen) It looks almost brand new! I also used on my black glass cooktop. It took off all the old cloudy rings I thought were there forever. THEN...I cleaned the refrigerator. Probably didn't need to use AWESOME, but I did and it worked well. I am one happy (and tired) girl! Next up...using on the grill.

I'm not sure of the exact terms you should be looking for. But you can ask if the stain and finish are done in the same step. Older or more quality furniture is stained and then a finish is applied in a separate step. So the finish can get scratched, but the scratches aren't as noticeable. Lots of modern furniture gets finished with a product that has both the stain and the finish in it. Scratch the finish; scratch the stain. So scratches show up in the wood's natural color. Or, the finish coat is very, very thin, and the finish itself isn't very durable, so scratches easily get down past the stain layer and show up easily. Different finishes have different qualities. You have to consider your needs and what will be happening to the furniture. Are you more concerned with scratches or water rings, for example. Sheila that is my stain remover..... Dawn, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda, It works great, but didn't take out all the stains this time. I'm not keen at all with the smell of Dawn. I've used the Dawn and vinegar for the bathtub and tiles, but I couldn't stand the stench. It didn't do a great job for me, anyway. I use another cleaner for my tub and sink, counters etc. Ammonia, rubbing alcohol, vinegar and dishwashing liquid. This post was edited by jasdip on Wed, Jul 9, 14 at 22:19
