Mr. Clean eraser is incredible. What won't it do? My husband was cleaning his boat (fiberglass hull) and it had scuff marks along the sides and on the floor. He tried brush and soap, a nylon scrubbie and was planning to get steel wool when I stopped him and told him to use my Mr. Clean eraser. He scoffed and said these marks were so stubborn that a "sponge" will do nothing. I insisted he try it and they were EASILY removed! It took him just a minute or two remove all the scuffs, and he had been laboring for nearly an hour with the other items. He was amazed! I have several on hand at all times for shower doors, scuff marks on floors, baseboards and walls. I also used it to remove specks of dried paint from woodwork. Use a light hand though, because it will remove the finish if you are over zealous.

I had the same problem when we bought our house. The tub was not in bad shape but the bottom of the tub (non-slip section) was awful. I tried a few suggestions in this forum to no avail. I decided to use Bon ami non abrasive scouring powder with a Mr. Clean eraser. WALA it worked beautifully. Now granted my tub I gather had never been scrubbed so it took some scrubbing and a couple of Mr. Clean erasers! I have used Bon ami on my stainless steel pots for years and I have had them for over 30 years and still look new. I figured if it worked to take burn stains off my pot it should work on the tub. You can also use bon ami on your glass cook top, works wonders!

I'm with dotmom, Jannie, I'm sorry for the gloom and happy that you found a reason to feel better about your misadventure. Dotmom, out kitchen needed an update but we were not ready for, nor did we need, new cupboards. My cabinets are solid oak, tho they are stained dark, and being 20 years old they needed a good cleaning and update. I finally bit the bullet and scrubbed them down with MEs and then used paste wax on them and replaced all the hardware. The difference was staggering.

My dining room set is an old one,like from the 70's,and when i first got it i used to polish it everyweek with furniture polish.So over time the arms and backs of the chairs became very sticky from the polish residue.One day i was cleaning something else and i thought i'd try to clean one of the chairs.It took that sticky residue right off.I think it also may have taken of a little of the finish,but no biggie.One of these days i'm going to do all the chairs and then just give them a fresh coat of stain if need be and a finish. By the way,i also learned my lesson along the way to not use furniture polish.I just use lemon oil now,or the pledge furniture oil. Kathi
