A few Easter pics

I really didn't do too much decorating for Easter this year. Guess I was busy working on some new projects with my Cricut and doing a few painting projects. I did put out a few simple arrangements here and there in the house, and some yard stakes and signs out front. Here's a few pics for you. Luvs

This little tree was a gift from my neighbor--TS finds she fixed up for me. Isn't it cute?

Coffee table with my favorite covered bunny bowl from Marshall's a few years back.

Easter blocks made using my Cricut I got for my birthday in March. They are reversible and spell out Spring so I can leave them up for awhile.

Faux chocolate bunnies on display on the seldom used dining room table:

Arrangement on dining area buffet. Cute bunny plate and little brown bunnies were gifted to me by our sweet Karen.

This metal bunny plate and the bunny glass I made ended up on the counter/bar area by my sink.

And this little wreath was a TS find last year. It's really heavy, not sure if it's ceramic or plaster.

I really didn't buy any new decorations this year, and the signs I used outside were the same ones I used last year. I'll have to get busy and make or buy some new things for next year so I will have more to share with all of you.

Woo Hoo, I'm so glad to see your Easter decor!! As usual, its wonderful. I have to say my favorite is the last photo tho, that wreath is SO pretty. Can't believe you found it at a TS. No wonder you call that "treasure shopping"!
Your Easter blocks are super cute, and smart of you to make them do double duty with Spring on the other side.
And the little tree from your friend is adorable.

I LUV it all. You decorate things so prettily, and I was getting worried you might skip Easter while playing with the new toy. LOL.

Luvs, I enjoyed seeing all your Easter decorations. All the displays seem new to me! I really like dining room table faux choc bunnies and your Easter blocks! As well, that brown bunny plate that Karen gave you is adorable! Thanks for sharing!

Everything looks great! The cactus really seem to shine in late spring/early summer and once they are finished blooming you have huge tropicals that take over! The castors are going to be ridiculous by the end of this season! If you get a late frost, I would expect them to reach at LEAST 14' Thanks for sharing! -Alex

Wetsuitor: The only ones I dug up this year were 4 washies and a sago palm, each of which would take considerable protection here including heat. I will be leaving those in when they get 2 big to handle, but the washies seem to take root distubance very well and overwinter well indoors. There is of course some set back and it is slow to get growing in the spring, however I'm not ready to get into an elaborate heating system yet. I'm trying to work out my kinks this year on a trachy. Plus my wife would kill me if I had Jim's setup! I live in maybe the coldest winter 6a in America. This will be my 3rd winter here, the lowest low each of the past 2 years is -2, and -8F, HOWEVER, it is the norm to go 3 weeks at a time never getting above freezing. Last December and January, we had 9 days that got above freezing during the day, and most of those were in the 33-38F range for highs. We also had 2 3-weeks seesions of consecutive below freezing weather. The other problem is that I generally don't see grass from Dec.1 to mid-March, it never gets warm enough to ever melt the snow. Last year I lost 2 decent sized trachies and a sabal palmetto, and my minors and needle that survived received considerable damage, the minors burned 98%, the only things left were the emerging spears. Needle had spear pull with surving pups. That was with frost cloth wrapped unheated leaf cages, which provided 0-30% damage and no losses the year before.

It must have been the luck of your Irish decor that you won the basket full of goodies! The napkin rings are perfect for Easter and that wreath can be used spring & summer! The handpainted tray would look great with a small teapot & cups on it for Easter! That cage, I had one exaclty like it some years ago, before the tablescape world entered my life, think I sold it at one of my garage sales. Karen, must admit, I have started my Easter decor, since I only have the small St. Pat's vignette in the middle of my table, I've started Easter everywhere else in the house! Oh my gosh, have been seeing bunnies with the blue delft all over the internet in vignettes & even stopped at a thrift store & Home Goods today looking for one. Home Goods had one table of Easter decor, just like Hobby Lobby, they are not carrying much stock at all for the holidays. If not for thrift stores & garage sales, I think we'd be out of luck right now for new things!!!

Thanks, holiday-ers...yes, I am doing better each day (DH, too)...coughing is not gone, but much less, thank goodness! I want to get outside in the gardens...but weather must co-operate, too! jane, yes, this is a 3-season porch & we have a little electric stove heater that we can use & open up the sliding doors to the DR when GK's come home to play! We love the porch...it's almost as old as house...40 yrs. ranch style ...but finished off inside, carpeted cement floor, paneled & replaced windows in the last 10 yrs. or so. And, yes, Jane, that single pc of Depression glass is all I have from G'ma's...it is pretty...I must look up the pattern name again...it has pink glass spoon, too. (can't remember if I added that later?) Thanks, Marylee... & yes, Purplemoon, that totem does look like a bird bath...I got the 2 glass birds at StVincentDPaul, the heavy aqua glass dish at a GS & the 1 pc bottom at HLobby...when I made it. luvs, punk & nana...Dollbaby can be a pistol, all right! Yeah, now she wants to be out there playing, too! Glad you enjoyed her. And the "door" cabinet is my fav pc out there...just an original & reminds me of my sis' old farm house. Thanks, holiday-ers! Luvs...I too enjoyed looking at your decorations...for not doing too much this year...I think you added so many nice touches to most everywhere in your home. I too love the wreath. What a fabulous Birthday Gift you got! I've always been facinated by all the wonderful things that it can do... one being > your Easter Blocks which turned out so pretty on your mantel.
Your painted Bunnies...and the cute one from Karen are adorable..So glad you got to share it all with us.

Those blocks are super cool! What a great job and what a great idea to fix them so they do double duty!

Luvs, your blocks are amazing - that is some new toy! I like the colors and designs you've used as well as the lettering. Of course your painted things are very special and I love those faux chocolate bunnies.

I hope you and others will never hesitate to show pics - it may be old to you but it's new to many of us or nice to see again anyhow.

Luvs, I'm so glad you posted your Easter decs, they are wonderful. I love seeing everybodies bunnies as I'm packing mine away. Like Jeanne, I really like the bunny plate vignette, as a matter of fact I love everything in that pic. The rose plates are fabulous, and I have those same eggs in the jar. I'm loving that wreath on the dining table with the chocolate bunnies. And what a sweet neighbor to bring you such treasures.

The EASTER letters are adorable, that is something my g-daughter would love, she likes doing crafts. OK now, what is a Cricut???

I also like your tea setting by the fireplace & wow, you said you didn't do much this year, you did way more than me and it's all very pretty!!

Those EASTER blocks are super cute. I love it. And all your other decor too. That metal bunny plate you painted looks superb with the wineglass bunny.
