My late Easter table too

Here is my Easter table. We didn't have company or do anything special, just a quiet dinner for the three of us.

Here is also my simple St. Patrick's table. I was gone during this time to a funeral and don't remember posting it.

The glasses in the center of the plates say Irish Coffee and were also goodwill finds. The other glasses don't show the green color.

I just drool when looking at all the elegant tables and pictures here, but I am having fun and mealtime is not boring anymore at home. DH is even enjoying my playing with dishes.

Printer, so glad you posted your "late" tablescapes too! Your Easter one is so cute! The bunnies on the stands by your hydrangea are wonderful and what a find on your Goodwill napkin rings - they are perfect! I admire the way the blue tablecloth brings out the little touches of blue in everything on the table.

Your St.Pat's table is wonderful, the shades of green and metallic-look chargers make the table "sparkle". I like your green stemware too.

I LOVE your last line about "having fun" as that is what it is all about to me and how great that your DH is into it too!

PD, those dishes you used for Easter are so pretty. I love how they have coordinating rims. I always love cute bunnies, they just make me smile. Bet you had a big smile when you found those darling napkin rings! ;o)

And your St. Pat's table is so nicely done. It really looks nice. I'm so glad your DH is appreciative of your tables too.

I thought about removing some of that soil, as well. My only fear would be removing some of what's left of the already compromised root system. If you do that, you must be very careful. You cannot leave it in a pot full of wet soil. It will rot. Just as you give a sick person soup and not a full course meal, you must give your plants sips of water, not a deluge. If you decide not to remove the soil at this point, take the plant out of the pot and place it on some paper toweling or newspapers to absorb the excess water. When just moist, put it in the baggie. Kathleen, I never had seen pink ones either, but they were just sitting there at GoodWill patiently waiting to jump into my cart!! LOL Karen, golf was great and the weather is fabulous, but snow still predicted for tomorrow night and Monday, : ( Jane, you would look lovely in that outfit and I would be honored to have you at my table. Where is that darn bus?? LOL Luvs, I don't know if I hit the stores at just the right time, everyone around here isn't into tablescapes, or my shopping angel is helping, but I surely do find some pretty plates!! Magpie, that tablecloth is so pretty IRL that I didn't even consider waiting for it to be on sale. I didn't figure it would hang around that long! The napkins I just collect as I find them on sale. They are so much less expensive than buying them in a regular store. Then when I set a table, I look to see what I have that will coordinate. Pat, thanks. I had some other dishes in my cart until I saw the cream ones, and I traded them out ASAP!! The cream ones were so much lovelier than the others! The pattern is English Meadow by Julia Bullmore, castles and cottages. Marlene, Karen says I hang from the ceiling, LOL, but I actually just stand on the chair, raise my arms, and hold the camera over the table. Then I take the shot. If it's too off center, I delete it until I have a good one. Thanks again everybody. Candy

Hi! First, thanks for loving on my new countertops. I absolutely adore them and don't even think the photos do it justice because you can't appreciate the colors or the movement fully unless you're standing here. Anyway, hopefully my experience may help you because I say definitively SWITCH to the stone you loved. I looked for - no exaggeration - one full year for the perfect Juparana Bordeaux or Crema Bordeaux. I wanted the Bordeaux coloring with the variation of the darker colors and movement of veins. I looked at 5 different fabricators and 6 stone distributors all over the state of MD. I finally found one the week before I needed to pick it and sort of decided to settle on it. It didn't have the movement I liked but the color composition was better than most I had seen. And then I saw that Typhoon Bordeaux Green two rows over. And that was that. All that time I invested in the other stone I threw in the figurative trash and switched to the typhoon because I could imagine the island with that movement and color and knew it would be something I would love to look at every single day. Go back to the granite you love. It's easiest if they will locate it for you, but your fabricator should be able to give you a list of stone distributors from which they get (or can get) slabs. Ask for that list and then call them and ask if they have the Netuno and if you can come see it. The fabricator can then have that brought to them to cut for you. Of the zillion decisions I've made of our house reno, switching granites one week before drop-dead-decision day is the one for which I thank my lucky stars. For some of us, it's like a wedding dress... Say yes to the Netuno Bordeaux!

pd...What a lovely Easter Table! Those dishes are really very pretty. I love the pinks and the blues and I just love those Bunny Naplin Rings. What a great GW find.
Your St Pat's table is very pretty. I really love the different shades of green. I think the chargers really set them off nicely. Those glasses are such a nice added touch...I can't believe the amazing finds that you get from GW! All very nice.

The bunnies on the candle holder (stands) came from Dollar Tree and the holders from a TS.
