Removing Smoke Smell from leather chair

Can anyone help me please?

My wonderful husband bought me the leather chair of my dreams yesterday, a red leather winged chair. Because it's an antique, it's second hand, and the previous owner smoked.

How can I remove the stench of stale tobacco smoke from my wonderful chair? I've tried white vinegar/water solution, and furniture polish but the smoke smell also returns.

I know that the ideal solution would be to air it outside, but as I live in snowy, rainy London town, it's hard to stick it outside!
