Favorite bath towels?
Comments (32)For the member who doesn't want thick towels, I'd recommend Ralph Lauren classics. You can usually find them at TJMaxx/Homegoods stores at great prices. Nice quality, but not bulky. I've pieced together sets between Macys and TJMaxx. Thicker- RL Greenwich towels, currently on sale at Horchow. if you decide to go that way, google for coupon codes. Thick, thirsty, soft, love! I also have Restoration Hardware towels. These are my current favorites with some reservations. #1 At first I thought I'd made a mistake. They were so bulky and heavy it was hard to wrap them around your hair. Washing and drying for several weeks took out the extra lint or whatever, so now I feel they are a comfortable thickness. Very nice. #2 I have a "water saving" :( washing machine, and was struck by how quickly my RH towels stained. They didn't stain, it was my @#$$@W@Q$%%# washing machine! They are so thick I need to wash them in warm water, on the heavy duty setting. No more "stains"....See MoreBath towels, shower curtain and bath mat
Comments (7)FYI, RH extended their F&F sale another day (thru today?). Included in the 20% off sale, are towels, bathmats,..... I use their towels and bathmat in the MB ("my" bathroom--DH uses our hall bath). Mine are white (bathroom has white fixtures and wall tile, pale blue walls, and a black-stained vanity, floor tile, and window shade). I use AHA products, including face wash, and those are no-no's with the dyes used for their colored towels. No problems with the white towels. I have the reversible (cotton) bath mat. It remains thick and plush for a long time (I have three sets of towels/mats that get rotated after each wash, which is done weekly). HTH!...See MoreWhat color bath towels do you like to use?
Comments (53)I mainly use cream towels in one and linen in the other. I also have navy and burgundy towels that I'll occasionally use in the one bathroom since they match, are nice, and were gifts. When DH and I married someone bought us a BUNCH of white towels and washcloths. I use those as the junky towels for hair color, etc. I don't bother to remove any stains on these. Also, I think white towels look too stark and out of place for in my bathrooms or I'd revisit that color choice. I've been using white washcloths in the kitchen this past year, but I must not be doing something right with bleach because I have to do a lot of soaking to get them white. Maybe I'll try the White Bright as an experiment....See MoreWhite guest bath towels
Comments (38)The button idea is great! I added two towel bars on the wall in the guest room. They are mostly behind the door when the door is open. They are a light color that almost matches the paint so they don't stand out. My sister's family of four are my usual guests so this gives them additional drying space (besides the bathroom rods). When they're not visiting, I use the bars to hang the clothes I'll be packing for a trip as I gather them in the days before packing....See Moregwentm
