Height of Body Sprays?
Comments (1)This is how I did mine. We didn't go by any particular recommendations. I am 5'3". I stood against the wall and measured the height for my hamstrings, lower back and upper back--all the places where I want the jets. Then I marked the wall. Then DH (who is 6'4") stood there and we made sure that the sprays would not hit him in any "interesting" places. It all worked out....See Moreare shower body sprays worthwhile?
Comments (11)Some people love them, some don't. I've had people lump them into the whirlpool tub category. Where they use them everyday for the first week. Then once a week for the next month. Then they only remember they are there when company comes over. Personally I don't particularly care for them. My wife doesn't like them either. We like our 12" rainhead and our regular head, but chose to omit body sprays in our own master shower. If you do consider sprays you may have to increase the size of the shower drain. I'd reference your local code during the planning stage to prevent any surprises during construction....See MoreMaster shower configuration and body sprays
Comments (2)First: Don't aim body sprays towards door; it will leak. Second: you must have water pressure greater than 40 Psi to utilize Body spay jets.Preferaly 40~75+ psi If you are on well water get your plumber to VERIFY that you have the water capacity in your well and hot water heater/pressure tank for the number of sprays you have and also make sure he hooks the sprays up in a loop fashion to the sprays so you get even water pressure to all the sprays. Third: decide if you want the ability to use sprays on you when you are sitting on bench? Does your shower also have steam? Fourth: Are you planning on using Kerdi method for waterproofing this shower? If your not sure ask your contractor how they plan on waterproofing it & Bench area....See MoreAre rain shower heads and body sprays worth putting in?
Comments (17)Delta Shower Systems are really great. We deal with them every day and they are really an industry leader. All Delta products have a lifetime warranty on both operation and finish so you really can't go wrong. They have a great parts replacement department to help if anything goes wrong. It's a little tricky to put together a shower system with everything needed for installation. Here's a guide we wrote we can help: https://faucetlist.com/blogs/buying-guides/shower-systems With regards to body sprays, Delta has a new style called HydraChoice Body Spray Jets. HydraChoice body sprays automatically pop-out of the wall when you turn on the water.. It is also possible to angle them as you choose once they are pop-out. Read more about these body sprays and watch a video of them in action...they are really cool! https://faucetlist.com/blogs/buying-guides/delta-shower-system-hydrachoice-body-sprays-with-video In regards to whether they are worth it, there are a few things to consider. If you are often cold when you take a shower or have a drafty bathroom then body sprays can help make sure you stay warm. They are designed to surround you with water which is very pleasant. I suppose worth it could also mean do they add value to your home. Well a shower system in the master bath have been shown to increase home value. So why not enjoy your shower while you live there and sell the house for more if you ever move! These images show a shower system with HydraChoice Body sprays, a handheld shower, and a showerhead...See Morekitchenkrazed09
