Some people love them, some don't. I've had people lump them into the whirlpool tub category. Where they use them everyday for the first week. Then once a week for the next month. Then they only remember they are there when company comes over. Personally I don't particularly care for them. My wife doesn't like them either. We like our 12" rainhead and our regular head, but chose to omit body sprays in our own master shower. If you do consider sprays you may have to increase the size of the shower drain. I'd reference your local code during the planning stage to prevent any surprises during construction.

If you are often cold when you take a shower or have a drafty bathroom then body sprays can help make sure you stay warm. They are designed to surround you with water which is very pleasant. I suppose worth it could also mean do they add value to your home. Well a shower system in the master bath have been shown to increase home value. I love teh Kohler water tiles because they are flush but if your looking for some off the wall bodyh sprays with 2 spray modes (might even be some with 3), I like the looks of some Grohe ones but I got some Hansa dual mode body sprays. Hansa is a german brand but they are part of KWC which is s swiss brand (go figure). I only went with them cus I had some other Hansa stuff and so when I saw Hansa body sprays just went with them before doing more searching and finding the grohe ones that i liked the looks of better and were cheaper (usually grohe is the most expensive so I'm still having buyers remorse that I found something mroe expensive then grohe) but was already too late so I hope we like the Hansa ones. unlike the water tiles, luckily off wall body sprays are mostly all seem to be the same connection so you can just unscrew them i believe and put on new ones so worst to worst if we dont like the Hansa ones, we can sell them and get different ones. I'm sure the german built and quality will be you get what you pay for (i hope) But yeah Kohler also makes some off wall sprays and I think the master shower kohler bodys prays there is a 3 spray mode version though kinda pricey. There are lots of body spray makes, just try to find reviews and go with ones you also like the looks of. I'll let you know how the Hansa ones work. They are probably great, i just like the looks of the Grohe ones better. Also sounds like you the op are looking for strong ones to get a vigourous massage from them. Thats going to depend on water pressure so something you may want to look into which I am as well that many ppl do use with a shower with a lot of sprays is a water pressure pump to increase water pressure. i have found one that seems to be good and will do the job but still hoping to find some more and get a definitive answer on a water pressure pump that would be good to increase pressure enough for 8 body sprays and 2-3 shower heads if having the pump feed just that bathroom.

i'm not a fan. we're putting together a pretty luxe master; double sinks, bain air tub, two commodes and a large walk in shower. the shower has a rain head, massage head and a hand spray. no steam, no body sprays. maybe not so luxe after all? my inlaws have body sprays and yikes ...i HATE them.
