It appears that they still offer the 60 x 32 with the ledges that they call armrests but someone here who has one calls "finger rests", as well as this new one that leaves those out to stay 30" wide. Personally, I'm really happy to see the new version, although I know nothing about the material, since that extra two inches would have been a big problem for me in a small bathroom. Now I don't have to worry about moving the toilet over to stay within code. I'd love to know more about the material, too. I think the bevel means the top outer edge of the tub, not the ledge inside, so the new one would be beveled, too.

Hi mh_bath, I wasn't entirely sure you are asking me, but since mine is the only pic that shows the horizontal overflow, I'm going to guess yes, so here's the answer: The overall length is 6'3". I am not sure whether using the horozontal overflow (rather than some other design) increases the depth or not... but it's a really nice deep soak. You can check specs for water depth; I do recall that this tub had a deeper maximum fill than many others I looked at. We set ours in a mud bed for stability and insulated all around it and it's wonderful... very solid feeling and keeps the water warm a looooooong time :)

Wish I could help. I'm in the midst of a bathtub dilemma myself :( Who knew it would be so complicated! Kohler Archer is out for us because it's acrylic. I don't like American Standard ANYthing but was willing to go with it because it's proven almost impossible to find what we want. When my husband saw that the bottom of the bathing well of the (Cambridge) tub was 6" SHORTER than the tub he has now, he nixed that one too.

Hi Linelle! I was asking because it's a comfort soaking tub, and has some indents for arms while laying down. It gets RAVE reviews as a tub, for comfort and extra depth. I'm asking specifically about showering because my kids/husband will mostly be using it as a shower and I want to be sure there is enough foot room, despite the indents. It's pricier than I wanted to spend, but if I'm not going to get my Jacuzzi (it's over 1K = over budget) that I know I'd love, at least a real soaking tub would be a really good runner up.
