Source of metal console frame/legs for Porcher sink?
Comments (7)californiagirl, thank you for the suggestion. I love the Cheviot sink - it is very similar to the Porcher. And the price is great. But the frame is not available in polished nickel. I'm also worried about the towel bars sticking out on the sides; if they are not removable, then the whole thing would be too wide. I absolutely love the Dea Bath console! It is perfect, polished nickel and all. But for over $600 for the frame alone, I'd be better off going back to my original (too expensive but less expensive) option. But this does give me towel hanging space. Will have to think about this....See Moreblack granite/ carrara marble console sink? Need help and a push
Comments (4)How long will the sight line be looking at the sink? If it is a long view, then yes I would probably have a problem with the p trap and lines not being centered. If you really can't see the sink until you are at it (as is the case with small baths) I wouldn't mind at all. Is it a guest bath as is when you have guests sleeping over? Or a guest bath for anyone you have any guests in the house? I think that too would determine if the pipes not being centered would bug me. If it is used rarely, not so much worry, used weekly, more concerned. How off centered??? Semi:...See MoreConsole Sink
Comments (5)You can pull together the different pieces of a console sink - the legs, a countertop (granite or marble), an undermount sink. Many of the bathroom fixtures shops in Manhattan carry these. I was stunned at how expensive it was - $600-800 just for the legs! $600 for a granite countertop. But only $100 for the sink, so thank goodness something was cheap. :-) They were mostly very traditional styles, but I think I saw a couple that were more contemporary....See Moreblack granite/ carrara marble console sink? Comments (1)Seems like anything goes these days. As much as I like to look at the glass bowels on top of a cabinet, I don't like them. You go with what you want. Both pics are very nice....See Morevermillion
