sue it is made for wood floors..no need to dry the floors at all..they are nearly dry from the FM. It sucks up all the water..it's a great machine.. Ree dx they have been around for a while now..I am on 7 years! where have you been?? LOL!!! also, I didn't mean that it was 'hard' to remove the parts or wash them..I just find I have to stop a lot to empty and fill and it is a little time consuming..believe me, if I had one for years and keep buying them..gotta tell you something :) and yes, it amazes me everytime I empty the bucket and see how dirty it is.. I still can't figure it out..I think a lot of it is dust.... probably the same for you! enjoy your clean floors!! Ree

There are many large posts here about the benefits of each of the products you mentioned. If you do a search, you find lots of good info and reviews from people who use them everyday. I will say, however, that there don't seem to be many people who use the shark/euro-pro canister steam mop. That is what I have. I got it from Lowe's for $99. It is NOT the same type of appliance as the bissell or the shark mop. Those are "stick" type mops. The shark canister looks like a small canister vacuum. It holds enough water to steam for about 45 minutes. I also have a new large home and lots of tile. I would recommend that you make sure that your grout is sealed properly. That will ease alot of worries. I have several large areas of tile, and I can mop pretty much everything without having to refill (and wait 15 minutes for it to heat up). So basically, I'd say I can mop everything in much less than an hour. It's ALOT less strenuous than conventional mopping. It doesn't use chemicals, either. I never noticed how much that smell bothered me until I quit using lots of cleaning chemicals! It seems to do a VERY good job cleaning the tile. Of course, you still have to sweep first, but I just use a large dust mop and that doesn't take but just a few minutes. The shark also has attachments that are good for cleaning the crevices around toilet seats, corners, etc. There's ALOT of things you can use it for. I haven't had much luck with mirrors, for some reason, though. The only downfall I have with my steam mop is that it only comes with one microfiber pocket (you can flip it over and use both sides). But I use 2-3 when I clean my whole house. I had to order an extra pack from the company and it took 12 weeks to come in. You will DEFINATELY need a couple of packs to do your house. Thanks, mulchmamma. My porcelain tile is textured and naturally non-skid, but it didn't have a special non-skid surface added, which I know from the dealer is an optional treatment. I've sent an e-mail to Bissell asking what to do about this development. BTW, I think the structure of the mop is at least partially to blame, because the holes developed in a pattern: one straight row of three holes, with a fourth hole exactly three inches above the middle hole in the row below.

I got one for christmas and I agree with Audrey. I have it and the sweeper part is a joke. It just make a mess pushes dirt into wet piles. Also because of the sweeper thing I can't get right up against the wall very easily. I still have to swiffer vac before I steam to pick up dirt unless i want a muddy mess. I should have gotten the Shark Steamer. That's what i originally wanted but i thought i would 'save a step' and get this one. :P I have a dog and 2 cats and I generally only have time to clean floors once a week maybe it isnt so bad if you use it daily. I agree it does get pretty hot I wouldn't go near the bottom while its on or for awhile after its off. I like that i can wash the pads.
