How do you clean your KitchenAid SS Refrigerator
Comments (13)"So I found on SC Johnson website that I could use Lemon Pledge. So instead of buy Pledge, I got out my Orange Glo. I feel like the Karate Kid waxing that car. Orange Glo, Wipe On with a Bounty & wait ten minites Wipe Off with a clean new Bounty. The only thing I have to clean weekly are the handles. Because the finger prints are oily they hide in the Orange Glo. It's 2 or 3 weeks before I have to clean the entire frig. again." ======================================================== I hope you don't mean the regular "Orange Glo" made for wood floors? That stuff will leave a film on your stainless after awhile. They make a Orange Glo meant for Stainless but I know nothing at all about it. Here is a link that might be useful: Orange Glo Stainless...See MoreHow do you clean your ss appliances?
Comments (8)If you can find it near you (or order online): 3M's SS Cleaner and Polish aerosol spray works well (thank you once again to rococogurl for the suggestion--we also use it on our KA fridge). Spray it on a cloth or micro fiber cloth, wipe on (covering all SS surfaces), and then buff in/off with dry part of the cloth, or a fresh cloth. It's approved by the NSF as being safe to use around food, and I use it on my SS sink a few times a week to repel or cut down on water spotting. For scrubbing off "gook" and cooked on food, you can use some BKF (Bar Keepers Friend) on a blue scrub sponge, and then remove powdery residue with wet/damp sponge or paper towel, and then follow up with the SS spray....See Morehow to clean Miele Optima ss door?
Comments (7)I was never a big fan of paneled appliances. Our KD designed the kitchen with a paneled DW. DH liked the idea, but I was very resistant at first. When I finally decided to do it, I reasoned, at least it would be one less appliance/SS thing in the kitchen to clean. I am very happy I made that choice. When closing the DW door, I tend to push the door up below the handle, which means the front of the DW would have been covered with smudges and fingerprints constantly had we gone with SS. Of course, now that I know what a PIA the KA SS doors are to clean; as much as I like the look of a SS fridge, I do feel a twinge of regret that noone pushed me to panel that as well!...See MoreCleaning the oven; I'm scared to do the auto-clean bc of GW!
Comments (20)Yikes! Thanks for that. I did the self-clean, and I haven't used chemicals on this oven before. It just finished. I did have to get out a few fans, put the hood vent on and open doors and turn the AC down to help ventilate the space. It was pretty fumey. The kids came home from school in the middle of the fuminess, so I asked them to go play outside and keep the dogs happy in the back yard instead of coming in for a while. Next time I will do it in earlier in the day so that there is plenty of time to air out the house before the kids come home. It's still hot right now and I have to wait an hour or so before opening it. I was a little nervous, I admit that I got out the fire extinguisher and placed it at the ready just in case....See Moregraywings123
