That is a GREAT vanity! Congratulations on finding one. That piece was the hardest search in my remodel. I have two tips for making the lighting decision. #1 go to a lighting store if there is one within driving distance. Call first and make an appointment with a residential lighting designer. These people actually exist. Since I made an appointment I got great service and my contact had actually marked some catalogs with post-its before I got there since I had emailed my photo to her. There are great online sources for ordering lighting but having a real live person talk to you about it is a great investment of your time. #2 Go to the design ideas photo site Houzz.com I just did to see what lighting layouts are shown for double vanities like yours. I picked the category "modern" and it was a bit surprising how few show the vanity lights in the shot. I saw a lot with two hanging pendants from the ceiling shining down on each sink but probably you don't have a high enough ceiling. Katy, Thanks for the pic. Your vanity looks very practical. I want my cabinet to be semi-recessed, so that I'll gain the ~ 31/2" between studs we left room for (biggest advantage of DIY is being able to plan for all these things), AND grab a few extra inches, maybe another 3 1/2? to hang outside of wall so that shelves will be a really 'useful' 6" or so leaving some room for the door itself. I just got what you meant by your body swing, I was thinking sideways, but you mean backwards away from the counter...ahh! Do you think you would prefer 2 narrower doors to prevent that having to bend back, or if you had a free redo, would you stick with the single larger door? Keep in mind, my door will be even wider than yours. Williamsem, thanks for the reminder. I keep my meds in my night table beside the bed. Vitamins in pantry in kitchen. Amazing that we all managed to stay alive for the past half century with our meds in the wrong place! LOL Not sure what you mean by a lateral door hinge, but we are restricted by pendant lights on either side of door, Will have to make sure door (or doors) only open 90 degrees.

The site lightingdirect dot com has a search feature for bathroom lighting, 6 or more lights and I see some there. I strongly urge you not to replace it with this same style. It is so dated...that's why you are having trouble finding it. I just helped prep an older relative's home for sale and removing/replacing the strip light of globes was just about the only change the real estate agent suggested. Something like the one linked below is so much more attractive. My 3 light vanity light like this points down and the light at the mirror is great. I believe many of these can be installed pointing either up or down. Here is another one.
