Use poly vapor barrier btwn cement brd and insulation?

I thought I read that bill_vicent among others here recommended putting a poly film (4 or 6 mil.) between the new insulation and the new Hardibacker or greenboard in a bathroom demo/renov - right?

Well I'm at HD looking at the Hardibacker, greenboard and a new product DensAmour (sp?). Two employees said NOT to use a poly sheet btwn the CBU or sheetrock and the insulation - that it will INCREASE the chance of condensation and mold. Just let the single faced insulation serve as the vapor barrier.

They also recommended using greenboard in the non-shower area instead of Densamour - too new and untested?

Which is it? Also what is the word on this DensAmour vs. greenboard? Thanks.

By the way I'm using Hardibacker in the shower area and greenboard in the remainder of the bath. The shower and 4 ft of remaining walls will be tiled in ceramic.
