What is the slide bar in a shower for?
Comments (4)In addition to the different height adustments, mine also has a permanent holder at the bottom of the slide bar where you can attach the shower head and put it on massage/pulse setting and have a lower back massage. Yum....See Moreshower on slide bar - why ?
Comments (14)If you have the slide bar and it is in a tub, YES, you also have a tub spigot. The selection lever will either be on the mixer valve setup, or a pull up on the spigot, don't know which, depends on your fixture selection. What we ordered from PULSE SHOWER SPA for our shower has several options. Although we did not have a tub, there is a rounded short tub filler across the bottom. Then we have an 8" rain shower head on an articulated (adjustable angle) arm. Then we have the shower bar with an adjustable spray type shower head on a 60" hose. And we also have two fold out panels with 4 spa-like mist/pulsing dual purpose heads. It is a great choice for us, but you can buy different configurations from Pulse also. Here is a picture of ours, which is the HANA model. Note the bottom shiny chrome thingy is the tub filler. Other models with fewer options are available, also for new AND older construction bathrooms....See MoreDoes a handheld need a slide bar
Comments (13)I will be honest my hand held in two inside showers and one outside shower, never change position on their bars even with multiple users. They do come off their bar frequently for being held to clean the shower or sandy beach feet. So sturdy is important to me. Because of this I opted to save The few dollars and space and use a grohe mounted holder sans bar in my master shower because the bar cost slightly more and added to an already cluttered wall. It is very sturdy and easy to tilt and easy to remove and replace the hand held. But it is not an only shower head, I have a rain head and jets too. This is my master hand held set up with no bar( please disregard the clutter and multiple jets). It works well for taking off and returning. You would place the holder higher if it is the only head. This is the bar system I have in my two other house showers. It cost less than the grohe holder by a lot... I got them a few years ago at Costco and they have held up greatBut my showers are certainly not streamline......See Moresliding2 shower head/sliding bar unit not have to drill tile?
