What has been your experiance with cost on plumbing

How much should I figure it would cost to put in the roughs for my new shower? The walls are down to 2 x 4Âs and it is metal studs where the plumbing goes. All the old shower stuff has been removed and I have the 1/2" poly pipes with shark bite stops on ready for the new plumbing work.

New shower will have:

1 1/2" connector rain head

1 sliding bar with handheld shower

1 3/4" thermostatic valve

2 volume controls

How much am I looking at to have someone come in the do this work?

Also I was thinking about getting rid of the center drain and putting in a trench drain, how much should I calculate this to be. Please keep this price separate cause I may not do the trench.

Then lastly who does the shower floor is that something a plumber does or the tiler and how much for that.

This was supposed to be a complete DIY project and now the other half has become too busy. So I appreciate your answers I know were all from different areas but I need some sort of guide line. Thanks!

Of course prices vary depending on region & set up, but we too are down to studs and are building in a new shower. We went with a new shower head, hand held shower w/sliding bar & we're opting for a diverter with 1 valve. Cost to install by master plumber 380.00. He also is going to run the drain, which is an additional 150.00. The tiler is building the pan (or shower floor). I'm not sure what a trench drain is, ours will be centered. All in all you can plan for at least 600 - 800 in plumbing for what you're doing especially because you will have dual volume controls & the thermostatic valve, but trying to pin down costs through the forum is a wild card at best. You'd be better served by calling a couple of plumbing places to get a more accurate idea about what the costs in your area would run.

Hi Cork, It seems to make no difference when I start leaves. What does make a difference is where the leaves were taken from on the plant. Leaves from the 3rd row are excellent. Leaves from older rows take a bit longer to start. I prefer purchasing plants and leaves in the spring at shows when I judge. Bad. My SQ stackable unit is 2 years old, well under the 5 year warranty that SQ promotes. Now that it's throwing error code, SQ pushes the warranty work to the dealer and the dealer pushes it back to SQ. Meanwhile, not one dealer in my town wants to do warranty service on machines they didn't sell. The latest from the dealer: Hello Yuna Wu, We are not the manufacturer we don't do warranty work you will need to contact the manufacturer on their warranty Thank you, Customer Service There you have it!

I had White Swan at my other house. It was in an area with purple coneflower, and I'm not sure whether it petered out over the course of time or whether it reverted, but it eventually disappeared. It was nice while it lasted, but truth be told I prefer Shastas -- the white of White Swan isn't the clean, sparkling white of daisies, and I consider daisies the ultimate cheerful flower. Funny though -- I couldn't grow a Shasta to save my life at the other house, there was just something about the soil or environment that they balked at. I finally just gave up. Here? My daisies are glorious :0)
