Wow, that is great, Fitz and Floyd is pretty expensive to buy retail. I am only going by your description, so I may not be reading your description correctly....but how about adding a proper sized christmas wreath around the reindeers neck, pulling out the branches of the wreath to hide the broken parts? If you can post a photo it would be easier to see what could be done.

I still have something to learn about resizing, thought I made it a clickable thumbnail. Oh well. Personally, I don't think this looks all that bad, but just needs something to distract from the broken horns. It is the only thing broken on it.

It is beautiful, love the colors on it. I wouldn't worry about the antlers, just position it on a shelf or table where you could tuck some sprigs of greenery behind it so they sort of lean over the head of the deer and you are good to go. Enjoy it, you found a great bargain.

P.S. I liked the big picture better than the small one--easier to see the details.

Hmmm, isn't it funny, I put the pictures in when I was in Firefox & it shows both pictures full size, but I just opened up Mozilla & the 2nd is indeed a thumbnail, but it doesn't blow up in size when you click it. Doing something wrong, but I'm not sure what. Maybe something is going on with Photobucket, earlier it kept saying that my code was wrong when I tried to put it in the URL link. I'm glad the antlers aren't bothering anyone else, they didn't seem too obvious to me but I have a friend in particular who would probably spot it in a second :)If I come across something next year that I think may work I will give it a try. Thanks for your input!

I wouldn't worry about the antler. You can just tell anyone
that askes what happened, the reindeer had a fight to see who would pull the sleigh, and your's won.

You's may look bad, but they should have seen the others. :>)

It looks fine. If the white shows use some rub on gold and stick a piece of holly or other greenery to cover it a bit!

Thanks Kathleen, really not much white actually even shows up, you kind of have to look at it from the back to see that. It looks from the picture that there might be some white showing, but I think that is just the reflection of the light.

What a TERRIFIC buy!!! I love Fitz & Floyd things. I think maybe I'd get one of the little table top trees that are no more than 2 ft high, and put it by this figure if you want to distract from his antler missing. But boy, I'd have snapped this up in a heartbeat myself. Its wonderful.

Thanks Karen & Kathy. I really hesitated to get it at first. I knew it took me a couple of minutes to realize the antlers were broken, but that is not unusual for me. I'm not a very observant person I guess, & tend to miss very obvious problems at times. Even when I realized, I thought it didn't look bad though. There is so much going on with this all around it, I always liked Fitz & Floyd but never got any, just don't have room. some things just have to have a home though :)

gnraham, what a great find and I agree with everyone else that the damage is hardly noticable. This coming from a person that last year glued together a porcelain rabbit because there was no way I was willing to be without it...LOL
