Thanks all! ok, so Budge1, are you telling me there are places to get shower curtain rods other than Home Depot/Lowes/BB&B?? I honestly never thought to look at real plumbing places. I bought what seemed the best available, but I think you and Lindaz are right and I need to just bite the bullet & screw it to the wall! so where should I look to buy this rod? Oh, and I absolutely love the curved rod and had planned on using one, but our bathroom is really, really tiny and when we bought our new tub, it was wider than the one from 1969 and is now freakishly close to the toilet. It doesn't bother us, but even expanding the curtain out a little would mean it would just about touch us when we use the potty. thanks for the input and any on-line shopping sites for the rod would be great.

I think a shower curtain shouldn’t take over unless there are no other interesting features. Your floor is the star and have fun with pattern, or uniqueness, but would suggest staying with your color scheme and overall vibe, especially with it being a small space

I would want something to work WITH the windows since they open out into the room. Double rod, sheer or semi sheer rod pocket 2 times the fullness under grommet drapes. Don’t skimp on width if you plan to open those smaller awesome windows. I’ve seen 100” grommets on Amazon. Looks like you would need two. Make sure it’s all washable. Match up the adjacent wall. I like the one Susan put in here from overstock but I would either find a similar curtain set and do 2 rods, all the way to behind the archway at the top and those stay open with a second rod for the liner.  For the liner, you may have to sew an extra amount on the bottom from a second liner to meet the length but maybe see if you can find one long enough first.  Inspiration picture below
