Bathroom light fixture for ceiling? Pics

I thought I would post this here - maybe you guys can help me find a ceiling light fixture for this jack and jill bathroom. Right now it has what the builder put in but I want it to look more spa-like. The ceilings are 9 feet so I was thinking some sort of semi-flush mount. I don't want a fancy chandelier but something more glass like and not opaque. I like the lantern styles but not sure if that would go in the bathroom. You can see it is kind of narrow and the whole bathroom is set up like a "T".

Just a thought, but could you find a Tiffany style fixture that would pick up the color of your lovely floor vase? Also how high are your ceilings? I would use some kind of hanging fixture. Definetly something a bit unusual. The color is so serene, I would add something fun and unexpected in the light fixture.

Thanks sjt2900 for your suggestion. The ceilings are 9 feet so I do have room for a semi-flushmount. I could look for something blue but don't want to ruin the aura of the paint with a colored fixture. I do want something that is a little different though.

I just ordered a fixture from Besa lighting. I live in California, so I need fluorescent to comply with title 24 on energy conservation. I also love the lights from Meltimi (Illuminating Experiences). I like the Jesolo and Lido lights, but I am not sure they are agency listed for use in a damp area. Given that your bathroom is so narrow, you may need a fixture that is listed for use in a wet area. That would rule out the Besa. Here is a link that might be useful: Besa Lighting

hlove: Ah, we have similar taste! My sister-in-law designed our bathroom and gets credit for the floor idea (I picked the green accent tile and showed her pics of what I liked and she did the rest). The floor tile actually comes all white. It was her brilliant idea to pop out a few of the white tiles and insert the green glass tiles as accents. Honestly, I ADORE how it came out! It gives the floor the perfect amount of sparkle! If you want, I can ask her where she found the white floor tile (the green glass tile came from Lowes). Yes, I like clean simple lines too and don't want to clutter things up. I'm glad you agree that the light would look too high if we moved it up (yes, DH would NOT have been happy with that request, the poor guy has been busting his butt on our new house for so long, the last thing he needs is unnecessary added work from me). You don't HAVE to choose two matching fixtures at all, especially if you like the atomic ceiling mount better (I think it's pretty nifty myself). It goes well with the icy glass vanity lights without looking too matchy-matchy. I say go for the atomic one!

I Agree with Chispa, placing a semi-flush at the center of the powder room will give you a great amount of light. I really like that one - I think that is what I was thinking but it isn't bright enough - I think it takes one 60W and it's kind of dark in there (east side of the house and another house blocks the light).

I like the RH one with the glass globe - it might put out a lot of light but it is pretty expensive.

I just went back to look and it was the RH Fluted column- that is the type I was thinking of but that one is very expensive - I wonder if some other company makes one cheaper.

Hoyamom, you could look thru what this company has and if you see one you like take it to your local lighting store and see if they could source it for you - or just order it from lampsplus. I've never dealt with them so I can't vouch for their service.

I've looked through the gallery and no one really shows the overhead lights. They comment on the sconces but no overheads.

Kraftee - those lights look very nice but I wonder how much they cost. I don't want to spend too much since it is in the jack and jlll bathroom.
