Letter from Jazz (and a pretty Valentine vase)

I got a rather surprising "apology" from Jazz today! The mailman left a box to me from HIM. Seriously, the return address had HIS name on it!

I did a double-take, and started laughing, not even having a clue what that box was holding. When I opened it, right on top was a LETTER from JAZZ. I had to hold my sides I was laughing so hard.

Written in BIG, FANCY, font taking up a whole sheet of typing paper......

To Mom from Jazz:

I am so sorry that I broke your cherub figurine. My personal shopper

couldn't find a good figurine, but I hope that this will be able to take the

place of what I broke.

I don't mean to be a bad kitty, but stuff happens...you know????

I will try to be better now, but it is hard to always be good.

Then I found a lovely, vintage pitcher (1971) ! Its white with cherubs in relief around it.

Just PERFECT for some Valentine's Day floral in fact!

and not just for Valentine's Day!!..
What a sweetie she is and what a sense of humor!
It's lovely...I'm sure it made your day and then some Karen.
But honestly...come to think of it...isn't she Enabling Jazz's bad behavior? ! lol

Gosh Jeanne...I'm sorry I'm late, but so glad I didn't miss this. Love all your beautiful Valentine touches and especialy seeing Dollbaby enjoying the holiday too! Your berry garland candleholder looks so pretty and your buffet in the background always looks lovely. Tea Set looks nice and shiney and with the red accents added makes a beautiful vignette. Dollbaby's new/old outfit is so cute - even her little shoes! Her little tray scape - even crocheted placemat is adorable. I have to say, my eye was drawn to her little cupie doll...I can't believe your Mom made that cute little outfit...how precious. I'm amazed you got this all done in such a short time. Thanks ladies! Karen, I have to agree - my DH is pretty romantic and I get flowers quite often throughout the year - even on non-holidays! Prosperity, my colleagues at work do appreciate when it is my coffee week and the extras I do for them. I enjoy it and it is fun to have another table I can set! Luvs, the faux snow comes in packages labelled as such and is found in quite a few local stores around Christmas time. Kathleen, your snow is GONE??!! We will have ours for a long time yet - good thing we like the winter activites like skiing. I am anxious to get out my St. Pat's stuff too! Jane, not sure how "clever" I am at making the winter decor into Valentine decor - more like "lazy"!! Susan, I can't imagine winter with no snow! Sometimes, when I have to snowblow the driveway so many times, I think I might like to try it for awhile! Mo, everytime I go skiing, I wish I had my camera - it is so beautiful up there, especially on the sunny days which we seem to get a lot of lately. DD

Thanks everyone for such nice compliments. I like the first arrangement too...I think the double centerpiece along with the lighting gave it more 'umph'.. Karen... thank you for the well wishes on getting to still go to Fl..we're hoping. Prosperiety...the roses are actually red velvet. When I have them out, I get lots of compliments on them. They look so much more beautiful in person. I paid all of $3 a bunch (there are 3 bunches) at Walmart a couple of yrs ago!! Kathleen.. We'll have to cheer each other on, if this cold weather continues much longer. Luvs..you are too funny...as for hot and steamy... That would be when I'm having a 'Heat Surge' and no one wants to be around me when I'm having one of them!! Thanks again to all. I love coming here, as this is the best place to be cheered up. jane

Nana, so glad you like thinking outside the box. I'm so glad you are here with us! This is one of the reasons I enjoy it here. We can do what ever we want and someone always likes the new idea. Both cupids were fun finds and that's the way it should be.LOL Jane, the tc is in great shape if it wasn't for a few stains that I covered up. The lady that won it was very distinct and I'm sure so was everything she owned. Glad you liked the colors on this table. It's fun to have so many different colored stems to use now. LMD, so nice to have you here posting with us. I loved Jeanne's cupid with hands and the one I found it's as nice but pretty cute. Thanks for your comments on this table. Jeanne, I haven't had this tc for to many years but glad to have it. I could see this tc used on a little round table on the porch or garden too if it wasn't for our kitty. He would probably jump up on it with one of his furry friends and that would be nasty.LOL I did try that arrangement on the Singer cabinet but it didn't look right. After reading this I moved the SC over and itplaced it back on there. Thanks, don't know if I would of tried it again. Your cherub in the hands is beautiful and a more expensive piece but the one I found it still cute. I loved that cp when I found it and will enjoy using it more. The innovating ideas are wonderful and it's ok to be a copycat!!! I would of never tried ts w/o all of this. Candy, I like the way you think! I will probably try a different color next year.LOL Luvs, I keep telling DGD she is going to get all my ts items. She just smiles. I tried to get her to make something while she was here this weekend but no interest. I asked how she liked my table cuz she hadn't commented and she just said it's ok. All she wanted to do is play and I learned all her new dance moves. It was so fun but my butt is dragging tonight. Thanks everyone for all your comments. Slinkey, you may be right about JB "enabling" Trouble! (Next thing you know, Dollbaby will be out shopping too...but at least she's sweet as candy kisses.) I think Jazz has a hidden agenda with his 'shopping'. I was undecided about decorating for Valentines this year, and now with this pretty pitcher....well I packed up my winter cardinals and guess I'm going to do Valentines afterall.
He wasn't interested in my cardinals (thank you Lord), but who knows what he'll think about Val stuff.

Now I know WHY he's always in 'hot water', and it isn't just boredom apparently. I discovered how he gets all his ENERGY! Sneaky darn cat.

Gotta love a cat that knows how to keep warm on these cold winter days. We had one that LOVED to lay on the pilot light area of our gas stove. I have no idea why he didn't get burned - I couldn't leave my hand there any length of time but he would sleep there all day between the burners ......

Jaybird, you are just too much--what a fun way to gift Miss Karen with a pretty valentine's gift.

Seems Miss Jaybird figured I needed a bit of valentine's cheer too since I found a package at my front door as well--not from Jazz,but from her! It is just lovely, and you really shouldn't have. I'll take a picture tomorrow to share with everyone, I want to put some valentine candies in it first. (((hugs)))

Frou, with all your pretty glass ware, you need a cat like Oreo aka Speed Bump or the Blob. Her idea of exercise is getting up to eat!! And the only thing she jumps up on is the couch or bed. LOL.

Karen, that Oreo is really laid back!! Probably have to poke to see if it's OK. My hot water heater is quite warm up there ,guess Jazz's fur acts like a blanket. The pitcher is a lovely Valentine's gift! But getting a surprise is best gift!! Makes you feel good all day to know someone thought of you! Maybe Jazz is acting up as he misses your dad. Were they friends? Could be he doesn't like you going to visit your dad. Just jealous you are leaving the house. Hope his naughty streak is over!! Jan

Jan, laid back is an understatement for Oreo! LOL.
Jazz is highly energetic on the other hand, and when he's bored is when he's "Trouble".

Dad is here and unlikely he'll be going to the care center any time soon. Things sure fell apart on that during the last month. Anyway, Jazz is totally 'my' cat so he wouldn't miss Dad, or my DH. He's very independent, not much for being petted and HATES being held. And wants to sleep alone. Guess he loves me cause I feed him and he thinks I'm entertaining at times. LOL.
