About me: Avid gardener for all my life - Johnston County Master Gardener - After losing my husband of 38 year in early spring of 2003, I am pouring my heart and soul into gardening. I find it relaxes me and brings me closer to the love of my life and his memories. My gardens are both a combination of natives and old English garden plants. I love to start things from seed and watch them grown to maturity.
Since I first joined and wrote my profile I have met a wonderful person and in July of 2005 we married and had a lovely wedding in our backyard. He shares the same love for gardening and nature as I do. God never closes one door but what he opens another. Life is good again and I know that my angel up in heaven is smiling down and would be pleased to see that the gardens he and I started are once again in good hands.
