a few new goodies

I showed you the LeMax figures of Santa, elves, and reindeer I had in my big china cabinet on top shelf...

cabinet with my Village. I didn't have any buildings for this little set of figures, so watched eBay after Christmas for things going 'cheaper'. I found a reindeer stable and a Santa workshop. Yay.

Here's my figures I had.....

Reindeer Stable....it has doors on each side with each of the reindeers' names above them. Rudolf's is on the front by itself!

And from eBay, this morning, I was high bidder on this Golfing Santa Cookie Jar! Paid $18 for it. I love the little bear holding all the golf balls. LOL.

Before Christmas, I mentioned finding a neat (and fairly big) ceramic bird figurine I found in a little antique shop my friend and I stopped in one afternoon. I fell in love with this instantly and it was just $8.

You found some 'goodies,' PM! Those village pcs are so cute for those LeMax figures you already had in top shelf...will look great!

I am LOL at that cookie jar...candy is going to be so jealous! & I bet Mr. O. might notice it, too! LOL!

Wow, I LOVE that reindeer stable! It will all look very cute with the pieces you already owned.
The Santa cookie jar is really fun. Good thing I have so much Christmas Golf decor that I have no place for that, or I might have had to bid against you, LOL
The ceramic birds are perfect for some after Christmas decorating!!

Mail-order nursery for Carlos42180: Olallie Daylily Gardens in Vermont have mostly un-frilly, un-gaudy, more classic and classy looking daylilies. They have a website, daylilygarden.com, and from there you can order a catalog. I am new to daylilies, and this is the only place from which I ordered, so I don't really have much to compare it with, and I don't know if their plants are truly historic/older, but they look beautiful. I bought three miniatures last Fall, and they haven't actually bloomed much for me, but I think it's because they went through a lot when they got here. I probably should have ordered through a California nursery, because that's where I live - my three plants arrived during a heat wave, after a long trip - but they all lived and look great now, even though the bloom has been meagre. Others on this forum tell me that they should be fine next year, and just need more time. I'm still enthusiastic! Laura

OA: Sure! The tag says, "The Old Pottery Company". The logo on the bottom of the pitcher says, "Create (sp) by Just Mugs, made in China". And, because she didn't get the entire price sticker off of it, I can see that she got it at TJ Maxx. I hope you can find one for your pretty kitchen! Karen, I like Jeanne's idea of a suspending it from a frame, too! As for my sweet furbaby, Chloe, she gets frightened of loud noises and, of all things, the beep from our cell phones and home phone, when they let us know we have a message or they're running out of battery power. I feel so badly for her when she gets frightened like this! Luvs, thank you! The 8 napkins will be fun to work with. DH and I never celebrate our actual b'days together, but we sure enjoy and appreciate our dual b'day/Super Bowl party every year! Kathleen, OMG, you misplaced your V'day box of decs? Hope it eventually turns up! Jeanne, I really like your idea of the frame! I'm going to try it today if I can make some time while working on the bills and paperwork here. Thank you! Jane, Yes, Emily's walking around giving DH & I the "teenage evil eye" and complaining that it's all our fault that she got this cold from us. She thankfully does it semi-nicely, though (LOL!). Chloe has eyes similar to a Pug, although they don't have the problems with them that Pugs do. They're called "ape-like eyes" in the dog books. As for our "triplet" angels, I think they're wonderful and was surprised and delighted to see yours in the cloche yesterday. What a great idea, BTW! I don't remember seeing them last year, but would love to. Do you have that pic to show us? It sounds darling . . . plus, I'm always interested in seeing more of your tablescapes! I felt very lucky to find mine. This was the one and only Valentine dec in the entire consignment shop the day I was there, and it's a BIG store! I'm hoping to check out the new antique (and "junque") mall down in town tomorrow if we don't get hit with another snowstorm tonight. Lynn

LOL, I adore you "No Pressure Jane"... you always make me smile with your nudges to set some tables. And I just bet you DO keep track of what I get, so you'll have even more ammunition for those nudges. You would remember my big birthday shopping spree last year, tho I didn't quite mow down any folks. Just found other ways to embarrass my DD in my excitement. But she and my sweet Jason 'n his wife gave me big gift cards this year too. (tho come to think of it, they didn't volunteer to take me. LOL). She gave me the Home Goods card, and the other card was a Visa so it went to Kirklands for BunZilla. Plus I still have some left to spend. Wooo Hooo. I sure was hoping to find a special (rabbit) table runner in Home Goods that I saw on a blog. It was soooo neat. If I can get to the regular Marshalls soon, maybe they will have it. Tho the one I saw was back East I think, and not sure if same stuff would be here. If any of you see this, would you please get it for me. I'll gladly pay whatever it cost plus the shipping. Never saw a 'Reindeer Stable' before - and with names too... that's adorable!
Cute Golfing Santa cookie jar - the little bear is a sweet sidekick!
Now all you have to do is fill it with 'Mr O's' favorite cookies!
The bird figurine was a good price and looks like a quality piece.
I think you did well with your shopping finds Karen..I can see you smiling from here!

Candy, I wondered if that was YOU bidding against me...LOL.
Thankfully the girl gave up after she bid $17, cause I was going to win this no matter what!

The bird figurine is on my vintage teacart right now.

Jane, LeMax sure has neat figures for Villages. I drool over their site occasionally, and watch for sales.

After Christmas goodies are always great! Love them all, but especially the reindeer stable and the bird figurine. I'm really partial to birdies!

All your new finds are great, Karen, but I'm really loving your bird figurine. That is great! Don't think I've seen more than three on a figurine before. Great find!

Yep, put some yummy cookies in that cute cookie jar and set in the middle of the table and Mr. O is bound to notice it--especially when you hand him a cookie out of it! LOL

Glad you found the stable for your reindeer, all the figurines are really neat too.
