I've been told that bees can travel @ 7 miles or so while pollinating brugs etc. so no telling who the parent is. Unless you are pollinating with a parent without any white genes present they will most likely be white blooms. It is unlikely that they were naturally pollinated by the datura because even the 'experts' have trouble crossing the two(but who knows). You can always try planting the seeds and see what happens if you have the space to do it.

we spend long time with someone who was not an architect but a residential designer--he basically wanted to just rework one of his existing plans for us--we went round and round trying to get some "personality" into his pretty basic designs...it was only when we really pressed him to think "outside the box" that he actually loosened up... we did not build the house because at that time we wanted a larger house than we could comfortable get on that particular lot... maybe your architect feels constrained because you have been really controlling the design with your vision--not a bad thing--but it could be difficult to 1)read your minds to certain extent and give you what you don't exactly know you want, 2) by giving you what you have asked for, other aspects have caused the "oddities" you mention... sometimes you can't have your cake and eat it too... did you take in photos from magazines of aspects in other homes that you found appealing and asked to have them integrated into your design? We also worked with a "real" architect on another house but the developer just kept pushing back the time that the lots were going to be ready to buy and start building... and prices kept going up in our area--it finally priced us out of building a home... the architect was so busy that keeping out house separate from all the others he was doing just seemed like too much effort... some of the best designed homes we have been in were done by local builder who basically did his own plans and took them to design firm to make blueprints and flesh them out with engineering specs... they had good use of space, natural light, storage, and some unique touches -- like the dog room with high walls tiled for first 4 ft, a concrete floor with drain, high slider windows on two walls to get cross breeze, and a built-in pet door to back yard...was not that large but was a really neat touch...people he built the house for were doctors who had 2 hunting dogs and wanted them to have way inside if bad weather came up when they were on duty... if you are just talking special touches-- would a pocket door be appropriate at some location and improve the function what about using a barn-sliding door for a media room or a play room space do your boys rooms have that make them magical? do you have any unique windows--round or square especially in a series or an irregular patter perhaps--what about an eyebrow window do you know what kind of trim you are using--are the designs showing that or just the basic floor plan? Have you checked for any line of sight issues---that might be something that bothers you without your realizing it... Are all your ceiling heights the same from room to room--that is boring--even if you want higher ceilings in most of the house--Sarah Susanka says that you need to vary the heights to give a cocoon effect in some spaces... maybe a dropped ceiling in the breakfast nook if the kitchen has high ones--- maybe a barrel ceiling or like a trapizoid one in a bath to give room dimension... don't know if any of those appeal to you or would make a difference.... it is possible for a house that large to be boring even if it is big...I know you are trying to avoid that...

Just wanted to update, my succulents are already doing much better in just 24 hours! Eight of my Aloe Spinosissim have plumped up considerably, including four that had turned mushy on all the lower leaves and stem. Bypass pruners+pruning snips were used to completely cut above the unhealthy part and remove all leaves that are to be below the soil surface close to the stem. Among the forums there was much talk (and no answers) about rooting time for Aloe - seems like some roots must be growing already within 24 hours, since I am seeing lots of new growth and turgidity in the leaves. This was for the Aloe with the root balls completely removed. Four of my other aloes appear to look the same, I've added a little water today and will see if they survive over the next few days. My chocolate mint plant leaf buds might even had started growing again (if it's not my optimistic imagination). Even my completely bare-rooted Euphorbia Ingens has sprouted all these new leaves! I'm curious to see if there will be any changes with the new additions to my collection, which were already healthy. My Gibbaeum Dispar (I think) is peeking out in the top left above the mint plant. Beside it is a Crassula Arborescens, which I had NO idea grew into a shrub. Took me quite a bit of searching to figure out what they were... Mostly I'm VERY surprised that so many of my plants have changed so dramatically in the past *day* with just a soil change. After all my reading, I was expecting weeks of dismal looking plants, but it wasn't the case at all. Especially considering the majority of plants had heavily damaged and almost non-existent root systems.

I have heard of 3 or 4-ton HP’s started with much smaller generators and that might be so. I personally would not want to knowingly install an undersized generator for myself or for a client only to find out it failed to perform during a critical emergency. Circuit breakers are designed to withstand an elevated inrush of current - momentarily, as a slow blow fuse might. The tables of Electrical Data are engineering specs and are posted for a reason. The LRA is posted for a reason. It is the inrush of current that the compressor can draw during startup when its impedance is very low as it’s creating the magnetic fields and starting to run against a high mechanical resistance. That LRA spec is posted to tell you what you might read on startup when measuring with an ammeter and how to size a generator - especially when a compressor is trying to start after a lock out condition due to high pressure, when mechanical resistance will be at its highest and its current draw will be at its maximum. After the compressor has started (in the electrical Data Table posted by Mike) and current draw drops down to RLA there will be enough excess capacity to run the entire house as the compressor will only require about 4.58kW. A 34kW generator (with about 1/3rd more head room) will handle full load and the rest of the load with no problem - virtually guaranteed! Keep in mind that some people require AC for medical conditions and are also running medical equipment as well that requires constant power without interruption. Many sales people will tell you that you can get by with much smaller generators. This is in part because they want to make the sale and not price themselves out of the running. Perhaps inverter driven variable speed compressors can be ramped up with a lower jolt of current. Read the specs; be sure they’re interpreted properly. Consult a Master Electrician. If you want an impartial second opinion, speak to an electrical engineer with naval experience, they’ll tell you what you should have. IMPO SR
