pacific sales outlet ?
Comments (5)I am buying my appliances through Pacific Sales. They gave me the best price anywhere (lower than marked on the floor where mfg'r allows) and provide free delivery and hauling away of old appliances. They also let me order to get in before a price increase, even though I told them it would be months before I was ready to take delivery. They have large warehouses and can hold indefinitely. All I've paid so far is a deposit (about 20%), and I can still change out any appliance I want to a different one. My salesman is also very experienced, knowledgeable, and willing to take time explaining things to me. I've called to ask him questions about 3 times, and gone in once, and he still gives me the time I need. I had wanted to buy from a local company, but they couldn't match the price, charge for delivery, and couldn't hold the appliances a long time (so I would have been hit by a mfg'r price increase, costing me even more money)....See MoreAnyone have experience writing/publishing a book for sale?
Comments (4)Publishing is not an easy task unless you decide to use a vanity press. But aside from the travails of the publishing world....I would suggest that you first actually compile the book. I don't mean this as negative advice but more a reality check. It takes constant personal discipline to produce a tome of any size. Carving out time in each day...or whatever writing schedule you chose...demands that you actually sit down and write during that time period. The first few hours...maybe even days...it seems an easy task but as experience has taught me...it can become a demanding uphill battle at some point in the process. Complete the book. Compile and categorize the illustrations. Create a complete package. Decide what you're willing to sacrifice in the impersonal editing process. And then start the journey of looking for an agent and a publisher. Look for current editions of "Novel & Short Story Writer's Market" and "Writer's Market" They're sold on line as well as in most large book stores. They're excellent informational/tool sources for answers to all your questions. Most of all...good luck. It's a sometimes daunting task but a very rewarding one if you're truly motivated and stick to it. I've been down this road and I can say with a certainty that the first time you see your name in print you'll forget all about the rocky road it took to get it there. But...I can't guarantee you that it'll be easy. It's not. Not by a long shot....See MoreAnyone have experience with the Samsung Chef Collection appliances?
Comments (12)Sue McGrath - I'm not happy with it, unfortunately. The dual oven is only usable with a 75 degree difference or less. Discovered when I was trying to low-and-slow some ribs in one cavity, and roast veggies in the other. Can't do it. Can't brown a chicken in one oven and bake casserole in the other. Dumb. Also, it takes FOREVER to preheat. Like, over 10 minutes to get to 425. I've also had issues where I'm roasting something, need to turn it/adjust it, and the oven never comes back to the proper temperature. I'll open the oven, flip veggies or whatever, close it, and it takes about 5 full minutes to get back to 400...where it stays...when it was originally roasting fine at 425. I don't know if this is a learning curve with the convection setting, as I haven't tried it on the normal setting yet. But as it stands, I'm preparing to send it back for the non-chef collection. I paid a ton more money for this one basically because of the "double oven" feature...which I can't really use. Anon Username - it doesn't pulse, it remains steady. Unless you lift the pot off the burner, it then turns off completely until you replace the pot on the burner. This is irritating when I'm stir-frying something at high heat. Doesn't work so well as when you flip the food around a bit, the pan takes a bit to heat back up once it comes back in contact with the stovetop....See MoreNevio sectional. Macy’s . Anyone have experience w this?
Comments (83)Does anyone have experience or instructions for disassembling these for a move? I've contacted Macy's and they told me to contact the manufacturer (Kuka) directly, which I did, but getting very strange answers about the product, as if they don't actually know how it's put together. We have the two power recliners that are linked together. But do the arms detach also? The manufacturer is telling me to lift entire unit by the arms and they are telling me it doesn't come apart in the middle. Both of these answers seem problematic, but the items were delivered and installed by Macy's several years ago, and I can't quite remember how they were put together. I have asked Kuka directly for some sort of user's manual, but no luck....See Morechac_mool
