StoneTech- that's kind of what I was thinking too :-) but sometimes I wander over to the plumbing forum and start reading about psi's, and pipe angles that do or don't meet code, and ID's and OD's, and venting and I'm not ashamed to admit it's waaaayy over my head. From your description, it sounds like you have the right idea. You want to run your vent from your fixture arm (the p-trap) then tie it anywhere into your other vent as long as its above the flood rim of your floor drain and you use fittings and put in grade so that your vents can empty of any water by gravity. Let me know if that makes sense -- sometimes trying to explain plumbing is an exercise in futility. Pictures are better *s*

They were super nice and accomodating when I sent in a request through their contact form with my questions. I didn't know they made 96" panels, had a corner seat, or bigger niche with a shelf until I asked. Also providing a "remodelers" trim that allows you to put the panels over existing tile is a huge bonus if you don't want to do a tile tearout. I think they thought of everything so wouldn't be surprised if they do your dual threshold. They sent me the following details on order fulfillment and shipping: "Once an order is placed, it will take 2-3 business days to fabricate and 2-3 business in transit from our Utah factory to get to Denver. The materials are fairly sizable, so they will be strapped to a large pallet and sent on a truck as an LTL shipment. The carrier will call you before making the delivery. They will arrange an appointment with you to make the delivery. You will need to be home to receive the delivery. They will drop the pallet at your front door or in your garage." Made in the USA is a huge plus so there is no delay. Also when I called to place the order we talked to the guy and asked about what aspects people had trouble with on installation and he walked us through his tips and suggestions. We had already watched all their on-line installation videos and read the instructions. Everything seemed doable and was well described.

I have a shower pan in my bathroom and a tiled floor in my girls' hall bath. I like the shower pan better: - It is solid and even underfoot. The tile is grouted, and the tiles around the round drain are a little uneven. The pan is going to be perfect, whereas the tile is subject to the installer's skill, and no tile with a round drain is going to be perfect. - The slope of the pan is ideal, whereas the tiled floor could have been sloped a little more. - The pan is easier to clean. - A pan will have a longer lifespan, and if it develops a problem you'll be able to see it. On the other hand, pans are only available for standard sized showers -- and yours may or may not be standard.
